This has been great for independent play time for my 17 month old. She's still excited about it a month after getting it. I put it out with a small magnetic white board so she can transfer the magnets back and forth. Otherwise they tend to get scattered. Love all the little details there are to talk about, besides the pieces.

My little girl loves playing with it. But the paper on the magnets is almost gone after 3 months and they are hard to remove out of the small doors due to the magnets. Instead of magnets and paper better use wood with a print on
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed with quality

My daughter received a version of this for christmas that looks slightly different than pictured. This is the first M and D product that I have been completely unhappy with. As a mom and preschool teacher I have purchased and used many of their materials and love them but this puzzle falls far short of M and D's usual high quality. Several doors will not close flat, many of the animals are chipped and or broken which is due to the fact that they are extremely difficult to remove from the barn. They fit so tightly that my daughter has to work to get them in and then my husband or I have to try to pry them out. Disappointed with this product but can see how the concept would benefit young children.
Pros: Good Concept
Cons: Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tis product is GREAT! The Easter Bunny brought this for my son who is just shy of 2 years old. He LOVES it. We talk about the animals and where they live. He likes to be praised after he locates the correct home for each animal. He will also try to play tricks and try every door but where the animal actually goes.....just to see if he can pull one over on mom and dad! I wish there were more available like this!

We use this with my son for extra help with his therapy. It truly helps with motor skills with the opening of the doors with one finger, but it also encourages learning with the different animals and what they say.
Pros: Entertaining, Fun, Helps with motor skills, Interactive

We received this as a hand-me-down after 3 cousins and it has gotten daily play since she was still doing tummy time! We started with just the doors (magnets taken out) I would angle it so she could touch and watch while I showed her how they opened and shut. Then she liked to do them herself. She is 12 months old now and loves to open and shut the doors and take the magnets out. We name the creatures and their sounds. She likes to carry them around and stick them to the fridge or the metal back door. It's such an open ended toy!! There is so much to do with them! I would like to purchase replacement magnets if possible, as she really was too young when she fell in love with them. The sticker front is peeling off from her mouthing them.
