Problematic but good ice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our built-in KitchenAid ice maker. The first one lasted 11 years and required several repairs. We purchased a new one in 2019, and luckily it has a 3 year warranty because it suddenly quit making ice. I’ve used the correct water filter plus done routine cleaning with approved cleaner, and here we are with a broken-down machine. We have hard water, but seriously, I’ve done everything to mitigate problems to no avail. I guess it’s a high price for frozen water because these machines are ridiculously priced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
