We like the size of ice, and style of outside and

History:Bought Whirlpool ice maker in 1992, second one was Kitchen Aid bought 2017, only last 7 -8 years. Not like the Whirlpool that I originally bought.Did second one have a design flaw?? On the surface , it looked like a whirlpool : just new name.
Now I am on third ice maker. I hope it last longer than 8 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] installer left a back panel off and inside the cabinet is so hot the unit seems to run all of the time. also the drain seems to leak on my wood floor.

We have ice again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. Had it about a month, and it makes large amounts of ice with no issues. Replaced an older version of the same machine (that had died after about 11 years), so it was just a slide in replacement. There were many bad reviews of this product, but so far, I have not seen any of the issues reported. This newer unit has several upgraded features that we like (the exterior handle is much better, it has a water filter now and didn't before, etc.) Overall, a good unit that fits in the 18 inch wide hole that the old one left in the cabinet row.
I would recommend this to a friend!
