Replaced with same same model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement of the same model we purchased 10- yrs ago. The first one was replaced under warranty due to many repeated service issues. The second one lasted about 6 or 7 years and began having several service issues. So now we replaced it with another overpriced same exact model. It works but for how long. For the price of a high end refrigerator one would think it would last longer than 6 or 7 yrs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Ice Maker but doesn't last too long...

I installed my first 18" KitchenAid (KUID308) in 2009 and it lasted until March 2018 (about 9 years) until it blew out and flooded my floor. Because it was 18" wide, the cutout in my kitchen island is designed around this width. Very few ice makers other than this one are 18" wide so I ordered another KUID308 ice maker. It lasted 6 years until the compressor failed (1 year after the expiration of the warranty!). Now, I am faced with buying yet another KitchenAid KUID308 because of the width... Ugghhh.

Waited a lifetime

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has waited about 30 years to get an ice maker. I think he is really happy and he doesn’t have to go to the store to buy ice. He would never use the ice from the refrigerator ice maker. I guess he was an ice snob. When our ice maker started making ice, he was so happy!

Love the ice! When it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love, love, love our ice maker…when it works. This is our 3rd unit in 3.5 years. We bought a house with an older model of this unit and fell in love with all the beautiful ice, then it broke. We figured it was old so we bought a new one (same model) and it lasted for about 2 years, then it broke and the repairs were more than a new one, so we bought another. We considered changing models, but this one fits the space under our counter, so the same model it is. It’s in, it works great, we love it and hope it lasts longer than its predecessors.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best ice machine

Has Never Worked
