Works great. However, I just wanted to buy the larger tea pot as a replacement and it is not available as a spare part. The glass shattered on the previous one.

You may have read my previous review about the fatally flawed tea basket. Well, one of the plastic arms allowing the slide down the rail broke on mine (one month after my warranty expired). I ordered a new one even though I would have to tough out the much too large holes in the bottom which allowed a lot of tea leaves to end up in the brewing area. 6 months later the new tea basket arrived. Guess what. The holes are now at least 1/3 the size as in the previous one. Still not as small as the metal tea basket on the large tea maker. Still a plastic bottom to the basket, but only the most brittle or fine tea leaves will result in bits of tea falling into the brewing area, something that might happen sometimes anyway. Leaves still get stuck in the holes, but less so. Good for Breville.

I have had this tea maker for 3 years now. I like to drink tea but drifted away to coffee again and my new keurig coffee/latte machine. Anyhoo... I'm back to drinking my tea again. I like this compact tea maker because I am the only person who really drinks tea in my house and this little machine looks nice and makes a great cup of tea (especially if you're not into the science of making tea). Its simple to use and makes the right amount of tea for one person (for me that's 2 mugs of tea). What I don't like about this tea maker is if you try to make the maximum amount of tea (i.e. to the max. tea line) with 3 teaspoons of tea, the plastic top on the top of the tea basket will float up and you end up with a lot of loose tea in your tea that you will have to strain out. Not a big deal if you don't mind the extra step but you can't really use the loose tea again for another round. To avoid this, I make only 2 cups at a time and reuse the same tea leaves. Now it's perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I wasn't even aware just how much the temperature of water really effected the taste of my tea. I had seen there were proper temperatures to brew at, but who really has time to do all that. This machine let's you just press a button and it does it for you. The tea out of this just tastes better and more vibrant. Doesn't take up a lot of space on my counter and is super easy to use. Only thing I'd love for them to add is a timer ability, so I could set it and wake up to fresh tea brewed. Great product if you LOVE tea!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is basically a coffee maker but for tea. It comes with a plug in base, water container and the steeping basket. You just fill up the container with water, add tea leaves, herbs, roots or whatever you are making the tea with into the basket, lower the basket to whatever water level and select your setting. It has settings for different types of tea, with corresponding temperatures. The best feature is the ability to keep the tea warm for up to an hour. If you select the max water level you have a tea in 2 minutes max, faster than a coffee from a coffee machine. When the tea is brewed you get a little beep reminder - it is as if they knew I forget what I am doing. Simple operation even for me who never uses all the settings in a complicated gadget. I'm not sure why but you are not supposed to wash the outside of the glass kettle with water, I'm assuming not to get water onto the base? This is so great for making your own tea blends - dandelion, rosemary lemon, strawberry leaves, mint from the garden....

Tea lovers dream!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tea maker is a game changer for me! It may be a bit pricey but if you prefer tea over coffee then it’s worth the cost. It automatically brews tea at 5 different settings and each pot can be adjusted between mild, medium and strong. You can also delay start and keep tea warm. Nothing is worse than steeping your tea in a cup then 5 minutes later it’s cold. I have used all the tea options and get a perfect pot every time. It’s my new favorite!
