This product was disappointing

I was SO excited to finally try the Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator as summer approaches! I am a stay home mama of 6 and my time is limited as to taking care of me. I wanted to reduce my shaving and maintenance time and have smooth and pretty legs for the pool and lake. In return for my review I was given a free sample of the Epilator to use. I was SO disappointed in this epilator! I used it dry first with the recommended hair length and then I used it in the shower. I did like the feature of having a light so you could see where you have used it on your legs or underarms etc. I used it at the correct 90 degree angle but it missed hairs and did not do a good job in removing all the hairs. I ran the epilator over my legs over and over again and it continually missed hairs. I thought maybe I wasn’t using the product correctly but after reading the large pamphlet of directions then watching a you-tube video I don’t think it was an operator error. I am very disappointed because I had high expectations for this product especially considering the retail cost.

It does what it's supposed to but it's painful!

This product was given to me free in exchange for a review. I barely grow hair on my legs, so I don't have to shave often. This epilator is sleek, easy to grip and does what it's supposed to do: snatch the hair outta your body! It has 2 settings and a few changeable "heads". I tend to use the one that it comes with. It's super easy to use, but it isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. I suppose after using it over and over and over, one could get used to it. After a few days of using it, I realized that this is probably not something I'd enjoy using long-term. Nair is stinky and less mess but at least it does not hurt. Is this a convenient product as it snatches the hair out directly from the hair follicle, causing slow re-growth? Yep. For me, the pain just wasn't worth that, however. Other than that, it'd be a great product for me!

I loved this for the epilator but I was underwhelmed with the trimmer

I was pleased to have the opportunity to try the Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator BRE625 for free in exchange for writing this honest review. I love that this combines a trimmer and an epilator into one product for an all-around perfectly trimmed and hair removed style. The icing on the cake is that this can be used wet or dry. This is particularly important for the epilator. It is less painful to remove hair on warm wet skin than it is to remove hair on dry skin.
If I were purchasing this product in the store, I likely would have been put off by the design and the pink color palette used for the packaging. Exterior packaging aside, the interior was packaged very well. The Advanced Epilator is sleek and appealing. It has a nice weight to it and it comes with its own carrying pouch to hold the product itself and its various accessories. Out of the box, it already has a charge so that I could begin using it immediately. I was very apprehensive to try the epilator portion of the product because I have used an epilator of a different brand many years ago and it was VERY painful. Despite the unpleasant experience back then, I was optimistic enough to give this a try in hopes that technology has improved since those days. I`m really glad I mustered up the courage. This epilator is nothing like what I had experienced in the past with the alternative brand. When you turn it on, it is by default of the highest speed setting and that is what I used for the epilator. I expected this to be too painful to stand but I was extremely happy to discover that I could use this on my arms and face without cringing or grabbing hold of something to squeeze. I tried using the epilator on my legs but my legs were a little too sensitive for it which was weird because I expected them to be the most tolerable. I think the design of this product in combination with the fast speed and the ability to use this in a hot shower has made this easy to use with little discomfort compared to another epilator I have used. I received this product roughly 2 weeks ago and I have used the epilator multiple times since receiving it. I anticipated trying it out once and never touching it again. I absolutely LOVE the silky soft skin I am left with after using it. Ultimately, I want to work up to using this on my legs and I think I will be able to do so in time.
Ironically, I anticipated this product would be fantastic for shaving/trimming and too painful to use the epilator. Instead, I found this product to be fantastic for the epilator but I do not use the shaving/trimming function at all. I tried using this for shaving and trimming multiple times but I finally just gave up. For whatever reason, I just couldn`t get the hang of it enough to get the results I was hoping for. It can`t even come close to providing me the results I can get with just a basic razor. For me, a basic razor is quick and simple with great results. Using this as a shaver/trimmer took far more time with mediocre (at best) results. Maybe with more time I`ll get the hang of it. I will say the light on the product is fantastic to see the hairs you`re targeting but the included instruction book is overwhelming. It includes directions for various models of the product which makes it a pain to sort through when you want to quickly get started.
Overall, this product is worth the price for the epilator alone. If you can get the trimmer to give you the results you want, even better.

Cons: horrible exterior packaging, trimmer was difficult to get the hang of

free, but it only caused me slight discomfort for a very short period of time. It worked well on my legs, bikini area, and under arms. The design makes it easy to use. Very comfortable to hold. I also love the wet and dry feature. The multiple extensions make it easy to use for different areas of the body.
The only con I really found was using it on my lip area. Possibly that area is just too small for me to use it on. However, the rest of my face was fine.
I highly recommend this product.
Pros: easy to use, different attachments
Cons: didn't work well on lip

I received a free sample of the Philips Epilator to review it's performance. Overall it is a well made product. It is slightly uncomfortable to use but not nearly as painful as waxing. It does take some time to figure out the proper amount of pressure to use as too much or too little will leave hairs behind. Using the epilator takes more time than shaving but you will not need to do it nearly as often as it takes much longer for the hair to grow back using the epilator. Overall, I liked the product and its performance. It definitely works as advertised.
Pros: less time on hair removal, well made product
Cons: takes time to figue right amount of pressure, slight discomfort the first few uses

I would recommend this product for the ease of use in the shower. I liked that it made my skin so smooth. The only thing that was a turn off was the loud noise it makes.
Pros: close shave, nice design, use in shower

received the free sample of the Phillips I received a free sample of the Phillips Satinelle Advanced Epilator. In exchange for agreeing to write a review on this product. I generally love the idea of the product but however I found that with her using the product to shave my legs or arms I felt that it pinched and was really uncomfortable. When using the product for shaving my legs and arms it sort of gave me a very pinching feeling and it was a bit uncomfortable for me. If it wasn’t for the slight pinching sensation, this would be an excellent product

Cons: it pinches

I received a free sample of this epilator to review and I really like the `stick` shape, it`s very convenient. I also like the fact that it`s wireless. It`s also much less painful than any epilators I`ve been using so far.
Pros: wireless, great shape
