Great for Underarm hair

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I`m always looking for the best, most effective hair removal solutions for my legs and underarms so I was excited to try this product out.
First impression, the epilator compact, cordless, and waterproof. Just FYI if you`ve never been waxed or used an epilator before be prepared for some discomfort. I`ve waxed before and heard this discomfort similar so I was prepared (or so I thought). The first 2 times I used it, I wanted to quit. The hairs are being removed from the root so as long as you are mentally prepared for that you will be good to go. By the third time I found myself being able to get through using it a lot quicker. I am disappointed in the fact that I do not feel it removes all the hairs in one sweep. I find myself having to go back over spots multiple times to remove hairs. Still not sure if that is user error or the epilator so I will keep trying.
I also feel like this product works best on coarse hair. Like I mentioned it`s been pretty good results for my underarms but I used it on my legs and noticed that I still had quite a few fine hairs remaining even after I ran the epilator over twice.
Overall I think this product will be a keeper in my household (at least for my underarms) and I look forward to not having to shave once a week anymore.

A lot of potential

I was very excited to receive a free sample of the Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator. I have thick, dark hair and I’m constantly looking for easier ways to remove it. I was a little nervous since it had been awhile since I’ve last tried an epilator. My last experience had been pretty painful- slow hair pulling and cuts. It was quick to charge, easy to hold, and extremely convenient. There are two speeds. This experience was much less painful then the past- it still pulled coarser hair, but definitely not worse than waxing. My problem is it seemed to miss a lot of spots. I had to go over the same areas multiple times, and eventually ended up shaving. I will continue to try it to see if I get better results after I’m used to it. I’ve only used a little while, so I can’t speak too much as to grow back. So far, no real noticeable difference. I think with a few adjustments or more experience this could be wonderful!

I received this sample Epilator to review and I'm quite impressed. It didn't require as many swipes to clean my arm pits and with a regular razor. The only down side is that I wish that the cord was a little longer. I also like the sleek look. Overall, a decent razor.
Pros: it covers more ground per swipe
Cons: needs a longer cord

Easy to use

I recieved this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. First time using an epilator.Overall product is easy to use and has great detailed instructions.Make sure to read so you are holding it the correct way in order to get smooth skin. I like that it has 2 speeds and comes with a travel/ storage pouch. It has a guard for more detailed areas(which I did not use yet) I used it dry on my legs on full speed. Love the light it has when u turn it on. It`s like a little spot light for your hairs. At first try I did feel a bit of an `ouch` factor but less than the pain of waxing. You can also use wet but I felt dry was better you can see where you may have missed. Using when legs are wet the cut hairs stick to your leg and u have to keep rinsing. The only draw back in general is you have to grow out your hair on longer side in order for it to grasp the hair for removal. Longer than when using a regular razor but less than when waxing.
Pros: 2 speeds, has a light

The various hair removal products have their drawbacks; shaving needs to be done frequently and can lead to painful cuts; chemical depilatories are messy, smelly, and don`t work that well for me. Waxing and epilating give smooth, long-lasting results because the hair is removed at the root. While both waxing and epilating can be painful, epilating is the superior method. Unless you use wax strips, waxing is messy; hot wax can cause burns; and all methods leave a difficult-to-remove residue behind. Epilating eliminates those drawbacks, and the Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator BRE625 is a very good epilator.
The product is easy to assemble, easy to clean, charges quickly, and offers a variety of attachments that make epilating easier. The instructions that come with the product are easy to follow. It comes with a nice little storage pouch that makes it easy to keep all the components organized and at hand.
Another drawback of epilating is that the hair needs to be fairly long in order for the device to be able to grab the hair. This is a problem with waxing as well, but with this device the hair can be a bit shorter. And once the hair is long enough, it works very well. You have to be careful to run the epilator opposite the direction of hair growth, and since hair doesn`t necessarily all grow in the same direction, it takes longer than a quick shave. However, your patience will be rewarded with a smooth result that lasts for weeks.
Another nice thing about the Satinelle Advanced Epilator is that it can be used wet or dry. I prefer using it dry, but it`s nice to have the other option. The removed hair does tend to fly about some; epilating in the tub or shower makes that less of a cleanup problem.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I prefer it to a different epilator I have used, which didn`t work as efficiently and therefore caused more pain. I feel comfortable recommending it.
Pros: easy to use, easy to store, good results
Cons: time consuming, painful

Easy to use and effective

I have been comparing epilators for some time and then I received this sample to use for this review. Everything was packaged nicely, easy to access and clear directions. It comes with several attachments which is nice. I'd recommend putting an initial on each so you can remember what body part they are for. That part was hard to remember.
I'm so happy I got to review this epilator.It works like a charm and actually pulls the hair vs. shaving. Overall I believe this will provide a better outcome after continued use. I was a little nervous to use it on my face initially, but once I got started it was easy. There's a slight tingle in the sensitive parts but so much better than waxing, in my opinion. I've use this every day for two weeks and it will be a part of my regular maintenance from here on out!
Pros: easy cordless wet/dry
Cons: lots of unmarked parts

Trimming system was better than the epilator

I received a free sample of this epilator to review.
It was a good product but could use some improvement. It requires no assembly and changing the attachments and heads was very simple. Charging was easy and fast. The epilator itself was easy to hold but when using it wet, it got a little slippery. I wish that it had grips on the handle to make it less slippery when using it wet. I am African-American and my hair is somewhat thick so this review is based on my experience for my hair type.
My favorite feature was the trimming system without the guard. When using it with the guard, it removed very little hair. Without the guard, it trimmed the bikini area and under arms painlessly.
One thing I would change are the instructions. The box that it comes in shows the attachments on the back along with the areas that each is best for but it would be helpful if that information was on the instructions inside the box as well. Since I used the carrying case, I threw the box away so I had to write the info from the box on the instructions before doing so. It would have been helpful if I didn’t have to do that. Other than that, the instructions were clear.
Overall, pros and cons are as follows:
Pros: multiple attachments, cleaning brush included, carry bag included which can fit all the attachments, cleaning brush, charger and the instructions. I have thick hair and the trimming system worked well on it but that is a pro and con (see below). Can use it wet or dry an it is easy to clean with the included brush. Fast charging.
Cons: The regular epilator attachment did not remove my hair that was thick and I had to use the trimming system for that. It was somewhat painful and removed hardly any hair so I don’t believe I’ll ever have a need for it. It could use grips on the handle, instructions could incorporate information from the box.
Overall, the epilator attachment itself was not as good as other epilators that I’ve used for my hair type but the trimming system was better than others so overall, I’d recommend this product due to the hair removal results from the trimming system.
Pros: multiple attachments, cleaning brush included, carry bag included, fast charging, trimming system worked very well, easy to clean, use wet or dry
Cons: regular epilator hurt and did not remove hair, handle could use grips, instructions should include information from box
