Pulls the hair

I really dislike having to shave my legs on a regular basis with a regular disposable razor. I was excited to get the Phillips Satinelle advanced wet and dry epilator to try free in exchange for my honest opinion. I read the directions and began to use the device in accordance with them. I must say that I was shocked at how much it pulled the hair and hurt my skin. I tried also to use it on my upper lip and it was unbearable pain. I was very disappointed that I wasn’t able to use the epilator and get the results that I was hoping for.
Pros: nice design
Cons: pulls hair
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great design but no success

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was hoping this would be the epilator to save me from waxing...but after multiple tries in different areas over two weeks, I didn't find success. This one has great quality design from the handle comfort to the built in light (love that!!) but I struggled to find the right angle for effective hair removal. Instructions stated 75 degree angle which I did but I would go over an area a few times and only a few hairs would be removed.
Overall, much less painful when used in the shower on wet skin! Excellent features are:sensitive area caps, built in light and a nice storage bag. I`m going to keep trying this epilator as I like the design and feel it`s good quality.

The Phillips Satinelle Advanced Epilator works well and removes hair quickly. I like the fact that it can remove shorter hair and it does it pretty efficiently. I did have to go over the area more than once but I expected that. Another perk is that you can do it both wet and dry especially because I like to do this in the shower. It works really well especially for underarms which is where I use it most often. It also really slows hair growth down and less work is needed due to this. It does hurt a bit to use this based on the fact that it is removing the hair from the root. Overall does exactly what is expected. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

Smoother legs!

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was in the market for an epilator and the opportunity came at just the right time.
I had been nervous about trying an epilator, because my previous experience with epilators was unpleasant. But I had to remind myself that a machine that's rapidly pulling out my hairs is not going to be comfortable.
The instructions are clear, and the product is easy to use. I love that's there's a built in light, making it easier to see the hairs I've missed or need to get still.
Cleaning is simple. There's a little brush included to get off most of the hair, and it can be rinsed and run under water to do the rest of the cleaning.
My legs feel so much more smooth than they do when I shave. And the hair takes longer to grow back, which is great. It can be used in the shower, but I haven't tried that yet.
There are also two caps that can be used to limit the area, so you can use the epilator on smaller areas like the face. Although I wax and tweeze my upper lip, I haven't been able to comfortably use this on my face.
Overall, I've enjoyed using this. With continued use, it has been easier to use. The only cons I've experienced are ones inherent to all epilators.

Best epilator ever

I received this product as a free sample to try and review. I want to make it clear that the fact that it was free does not affect my opinion of the product. And let me just say this I’m absolutely blown away at how well this Phillips epilator has worked, I’ve now tried it on my legs and my arm pits, and after the first time using i have already noticed a significant difference. Loving all the many different attachments that will definitely get those hard to reach areas. It is very lightweight and easy to work with, you will love it just as I do. I highly recommend all the females out there to give it a try.

I really like it. It leaves a few red bumps on the skin but does much better if you use it in the shower or hold the skin real tight.
My favorite feature is the light. It really helps you see what you’re doing.
It is also very easy to assemble and to clean. The instructions are very detailed.
I would definitely recommend this product.

This device is really, really good. I have used it multiple times and I'm impressed. Removed This was an excellent purchase. I noticed almost zero pain when removing hair from my face (cheeks and chin). There was a brief step up in sensation when used on the upper lip but again nothing that could not be tolerated. I've also used it under my arms and was shocked at how quick and painless it was. I braced for major impact and was shocked at the slight tingling I experienced and that was it. I used to be a big fan of waxing (I waxed myself with professional products) and hate to admit, that waxing hurts more than this epilator. I appreciate the epilator can be cleaned with the included brush and also cleaned in water so the device can remain in a clean state during storing and ready for use next time. This unit has two speeds, two interchangeable heads and chargeable with an electric cord that is included. It is easy to hold, simple and sleek. Not fancy, no bells or whistles but you don't need bells and whistles - you need an epilator that works and this one does. I store my components in a cute two-pocket, zipped makeup case that fits the epilator perfectly which keeps the unit and accessories clean and well organized so I don't lose any of the parts.
My personal "pain" scale (one (1) to ten (10) experience using the Hangsun Epilator.
Cheeks: 1/10 (essentially pain-free)
Upper lip: 3/10 (mostly under the nose but that is where our nerves meet on the face so no surprise there)
Chin: 2/10 (just is certain spots)
Under-arms: 2/10 (awkward to do but I managed)
Legs: 2/10 (ankles and other more tender zones)
The sensation diminishes so quickly that it is almost not worth mentioning but people may be curious like I was before my purchase.
Cheeks: 1/10 (essentially pain-free)

My face did become a little red in certain spots but I expected that since hair is being removed from the follicle. I use it at night because I don't want to expose my skin to the sun/heat after hair removal. I applied a soothing facial moisturizer and my face was super smooth with no redness in the morning. This has made me less self-conscious as I loathe my chin and upper lip hair and now it is nice and smooth without that hassle of waxing. I love the Hangsun so much that I came back and purchased one for my sister. She tried it one time on her face and said "It works! I want one! By the way, she indicated the most sensitive area for her was the upper lip. She didn't even flinch when used on her cheeks and chin. She actually asked if the hair was being removed because it was so painless. She felt how smooth her face was after hair removal and was ecstatic.

Worth the money

I received a free sample to review this product. I was very excited to try it out. I initially was overwhelmed by the number of attachments and found the instructions a little vague. I was not prepared for the time it takes, if doing legs or bikini area, but when using the epilator it's worth the time. I did not find the shaving head as useful, as it didn't seem to have a clean shave, when shaving legs or underarms. The feature I was most impressed with, was for facial hair. It took little time, and very long lasting results. It's worth the money, but a time consuming effort if wanting to use the epilator on a large area.
Pros: great for fine hair
Cons: time consuming
