received a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write a review. When I received the Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator Rechargeable I was impressed with the design of it. It`s pretty, small enough to fit comfortably in your hand and the control buttons are easy to maneuver. The epilation process was easy and the pain was bearable. It just feels like you`re being tweezed. I tried it both wet and dry and believe that it`s less pain while wet. I also like the smoothness it leaves after the process. However, on certain areas of my body that may not be flat (pelvic region, underarms, shin area) there`s been hair left that I`ve had to use a razor to remove. The charging is very quick and the battery lasts fairly long and stays strong. Overall I would recommend the product to anyone tired of shaving and like to save money on waxing monthly.

I received a free sample of this product to review and I am so glad I did! I have done waxing, laser hair removal, you name it and this is by far the best option for me! Waxing is expensive, laser hair removal didn’t work well on my light hair and shaving is just a hassle! This product allows me to use it once every few weeks and have smooth legs and underarms! I will say that I would have never bought this product by myself because I wouldnt have really known what to expect and it is more money than I would want to spend to try something. However, I am so glad that this was given to me to try because I have already told so many women about it! It truly works and I am so excited to own it! I think everyone should have one!
So a little more about the product itself. It is an epilator so it works by removing your hair at the root. That, of course, is a little painful but it wasn’t enough to outweigh the benefits. Your first time using it is a real test in mind over matter! If you are getting laser hair removal or waxing, someone else is in charge of the treatment and you have no ability to stop it if it feels uncomfortable. With this, you have to push through it being uncomfortable in spots. Once I got over that hurdle, it didn’t bother me at all! In fact, it is almost enjoyable because when there is any twinge of pain, you know it is working and working well! It does take longer than shaving because I wanted to be very precise and get every inch of the area I was treating but that is the beauty of only having to use it every few weeks!
A few tips:
~ It does help to have a wet option. I found if my legs or underarms were a little wet, it did soothe them and help with the pain and redness. I have very sensitive skin but if you do it at night, the redness should be gone by morning.
~ Holding the epilator at a 90 degree angle makes a huge difference. It works way better than if you hold it at an angle as if you were shaving your legs.
~ I didn’t end up using any of the attachments. I just used it by itself because I could get closer to the skin and I think it helped get more if the fine hairs.
~ The device was way more efficient with the longer hairs so I would suggest you wait to use it until your hair is between 3-4mm just like they tell you in the manual.

Overall, I am so pleased with this product and I think it would be a great buy for anyone who wants to get rid of their hair without spending the money for laser hair removal! Or if laser hair removal won’t work for you like yours truly!

Great design - But So So Using It

I received a free samples of the Philips Satinelle Epilator to try. I like the colors (lavender & white), the handle of it was light and has a good grip, it shapes like a disposable razor. One feature that I loved is the led light while operating the epilator. The usage of the epilator itselfs was not very good. It doesn’t really pick up hair the first or second and even the third time rolling the epilator over my skin. The wordings outside packaging box said ‘Firmly grips even fine hair with EFFORTLESS epilation’ So I didn’t feel that way while using it. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the roller/pick up part being plastic. I’ve been using a different epilator brand for over 20 years and the roller/pickup part is metal and I only need to roll it over my skin twice the most. The entire packaging is attractive, if they some how could figure out how to make the roller /pick up part have a better catch with fine hair. Thank you!
Pros: light & easy to grip, led light
Cons: doesn’t really pick up hair after rolling over 3x
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I want to mention that I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion, and I am truly being honest with my opinion. The Satinelle is an epilator with various sized “caps” that allow it to be used on various parts of the body. It has two speeds, the ability to use it wet or dry, and comes with a trimmer attachment. If you have not epilated before, be prepared that it does hurt. However, with repeated use it starts to hurt less or maybe you just get used to it. The hair removal effects last longer than shaving, as your hair is being plucked from the root.
Speeds: I almost always used the higher of the two speeds. I’m not sure what the different speeds offer (other epilators I have used also have multiple speeds). The instructions indicate that the higher speed is more efficient and the lower speed is good for bone-y areas or areas with less hair.
Caps and Trimmer attachments: I used the epilator mainly on my legs, so didn’t really use the caps, but they allow for epilating different areas like the face. I’m not brave enough to epilate my face! Ouch! But if you are that brave, then the caps will help. The trimmer attachment worked great and as expected for a trimmer. All the attachments were easy to put on and take off.
Wet and dry: This was a very cool feature! I have not ever had an epilator that you could use in the shower. I tried it both wet and dry; it worked equally well in both conditions. Using it in the shower was a cleaner way to use it, as the hairs just went down the drain. I thought maybe epilating would hurt less in the shower, but it seemed about the same to me. It’s a nice feature and gives the user a lot of flexibility about when they use it!
Instructions: The instructions were a flimsy paper that I ripped by accident a few times. It would be better if it came on sturdier paper or in a booklet. The instructions come in a bunch of different languages. They explain the basic features well and what all the attachments are for.
Epilating ability: It works as I had hoped for an epilator. I have very fine light fuzzy hair on my knee and thighs, which I struggle to remove shaving. I used both the epilating and trimmer feature on these fuzzies and they worked really well. It quickly and efficiently removed my thicker lower leg hair, too. So, it works on a variety of hair types. There is a little light that helps you see where you are epilating; this feature is somewhat useful and not found in all epilators on the market. However, the wet/dry feature is what really sets it apart. Also, the shape of the handle is more narrow and comfortable than many other epilators that are bulkier. I like this epilator a lot and would recommend it to my friends. If you have used epilators in the past, you will get the features you need and want and good hair removal. If you are new to epilating, then I think this would be a good one to try.

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. My first impression was: sleek, appealing and easy to put up away from the kids. I used the product both in the shower and out and I definitely prefer in the shower. It was soooo much easier to clean up hair and the actual Phillips in the shower. Plus the epilator has minimal pain in the shower while using it on my legs. I absolutely loved the trimmer feature, it was super easy to change the parts, just push the little button and click on the new part. The trimmer has like 3 different options to use and they all get the job done. I will continue to use the Phillips for the trimmers especially for the lady parts! I didn’t rank it excellent because on dry skin, the epilator did cause discomfort, nothing I could not withstand but still it did hurt! Overall the Phillips got the job done and I will continue to use it!

I received a free copy if Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator to review. I diss not like the product and felt it was difficult to set up. I didn’t like the results either. Very disappointing.

Versatile epilator

I love that this epilator is rechargeable and therefore can be used anywhere, I also love that it can be used both wet and dry. My only issue is that the battery doesn’t last quite as long as I would like to do my full legs and it cannot be used while plugged in/charging. I also enjoy the built in light which is great to see the hairs on your body before you remove them, especially in my dark bathroom. The epilator itself is not quite as powerful as I’m used to and I’ve had to go over spots more often, but this also has made the job less painful. I also enjoy the trimmer attachment for personal grooming. The instruction manual is simple to understand and the product is simple to unbox and all of the attachments are fairly self explanatory. The only improvements would be to make the epilator stronger and either make the batteeyblast a bit longer or let the epilator be used while plugged in, otherwise this is a pretty versatile product.
Pros: wet and dry use, cordless, epilator and trimmer heads
Cons: cannot be used when plugged in, battery doesn’t last very long, not as powerful as it could be

I was sent a free Philiips Satinelle Advanced Epilator and I really was impressed with how well it pulled the hairs from the root the first time I used it. I liked that I could choose from the slower or fast levels on the device. This made it less painful and quicker to use.
I really love the attachments like the Delicate Area Cap which makes it more comfortable for more sensitive areas. Also, the light on the device makes it easier to see while using. The brush that comes with the device makes it easy to clean after every use.
Pros: easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
