Easy to use put did not remove all of the hair

I received a free sample of this epilator to review. The epilator was easy to use. The directions for use were clear. The directions for the different shields were not clear. The directions talked about each of the shields but did not tell you which was which so I had to guess what shield to use for what. I loved the light on the epilator that shined on the area you were using it on. The first time I used it on my legs and it left lots of hair on my leg no matter how many times I went over the same spot. I tried it again the next day after I showered and it got more of the hair but not all of it. It worked really well on my underarms and my face. There were very red bumps after use. The epilator was easy to operate and clean. I would give this product a much higher review if it was able to remove all of my leg hair.
Pros: loved the light that shined on area of use, easy to clean and use
Cons: did not remove all of the hair on my legs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So I had been thinking about trying an epilator for a while now but could remember the one my Mother had. That little thing was a nightmare so I hesitated to buy one for myself. When the opportunity to try the Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator BRE625 for free, I jumped on it!
As soon as I received my package, I tore into it and read the simple instructions. Charge first - check. I could wait a couple of hours before trying it out.... It charged pretty quickly so I didn’t have to wait very long.
Ladies, this isn’t your grannies epilator! This little beauty has some POWER! And it conveniently lights up your “work area” so you can focus on what you’re doing and not miss any little hairs. It is important to have a little stubble so it has something to grab onto but let me tell you, my legs were done in no time - woohoo! One suggestion is to wait and use it at night in case of any redness but I didn’t have this problem.
Next was my under arms. I was a little worried about my pain level as it’s a somewhat sensitive area but I was pleasantly surprised. I think the speed that it spins helps avoid pain. I didn’t try any other areas as my teenage daughter soon swiped my epilator. I haven’t seen it since. She tells me she loves it. She uses it for her legs, underarms and bikini lines.
I hope to see it again soon...
Pros: lighted, speed, ease of use

received a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write a review. When I received the Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator Rechargeable I was impressed with the design of it. It`s pretty, small enough to fit comfortably in your hand and the control buttons are easy to maneuver. The epilation process was easy and the pain was bearable. It just feels like you`re being tweezed. I tried it both wet and dry and believe that it`s less pain while wet. I also like the smoothness it leaves after the process. However, on certain areas of my body that may not be flat (pelvic region, underarms, shin area) there`s been hair left that I`ve had to use a razor to remove. The charging is very quick and the battery lasts fairly long and stays strong. Overall I would recommend the product to anyone tired of shaving and like to save money on waxing monthly. I'm going to continue to use the product to update my review in 2 weeks.

Essential part of my routine!

I have a love-hate relationship with my legs. Living in the south and playing tennis, I have a long season where I'm wearing shorts, and I like having legs that look great. Waxing was my go-to choice, but it's messy and it's a pain in the neck to do, and to keep up with. Plus you always miss a spot (hello rando hair on my ankle bone?)
So Philips offered to send me this epilator to try, and I said, sure, why not?
Oh, I love it, and here's why: I can sit in the tub, dunk it under water, and it's fine. I can spend a few minutes epilating the hair from one leg, soak in the tub for a while longer, and then do the other leg.
I get out of the tub and dry off, realize I miss a spot? Zap, it's done without having globs of wax stuck on my leg.
Probably the nicest thing is having smooth legs has gone from being a chore to being part of a nice soak in the tub for me. I will say that you have to take your time with this-you can't run it over your legs as fast as a razor, you have to go slowly so it can catch all the hair. But since it's now part of a fun bath routine, I don't mind at all.
My teenage daughter just borrowed it and said "mom, buy me one of these". Yep, will do.
Pros: can use it in the tub, battery lasts through several uses
Cons: go slowly to catch all the hair

One of the best epilators I have used

The Phillips Satinelle Epilator was a shocking surprise for me. I have used epilators in the past, and they were always painful, so I never really stuck with it. In the spirit of providing a full and honest review, as I was given this as a free sample to test out, I have been using this product every 3 days for 3 weeks now. The initial use of epilating my legs was mildly uncomfortable, but totally tolerable. It took a long time to get the smooth feeling, and I would say that you should break the first session up into smaller timeframes or watch a television show while you are doing it. I spent about 45 minutes between both legs. Although the sensation of hair being pulled out is uncomfortable, as the days and weeks went on, it became routine and I barely noticed the discomfort. I will say that the curve of the epilator is a bit awkward on the ankle and bony areas, but with persistence you can hit those areas from multiple angles and get the hair removed.
I then attempted to epilate my arms, which was less uncomfortable than my legs and I found much easier. The hair came out easily and I would say this was the easiest part of my body to adjust to epilator use. The underarm, however was highly uncomfortable. It is awkward with the curved epilator head, and because of the sensitive nature of the area it hurts far more than legs or arms. I tried the sensitive area attachment, but felt like it was not removing the hair as well. I did attempt to do my underarms 4 times overall, but will not continue with this area for epilating. I also attempted to use the epilator on my bikini area, but ultimately decided this is a great place for the shaving/trimming attachment and it did a great job without pain.
Overall I liked this epilator better than any that I have previously used. The rechargeable and wet/dry aspect of it are wonderful, as is the little light that shows me any hairs I may have missed. I would like to have the light have an on/off option, and for the epilator to offer a flat as well as curved attachment, however I still feel strongly about recommending this highly to friends and family.

Great hair removal product!

I received a free sample of this epilator to review, and I loved it! It is a breeze to charge and use it. The instructions are easy to follow for assembling and using. I depilated my face first, and I was really pleased with the results, all my facial hair was gone, painless and really quickly versus actually waxing. I just felt a bit of pulling at the beginning when I started to use it, but the sensation was not overwhelming neither irritated my skin which was great. After using a second time on my facial hair, I decided to used on my legs, and I preferred to use on the dry mode. The areas that I "depilated" were perfectly dry, and did not make any preparations before using the epilator on my legs. The "epilation" ran smoothly, with no pain, and my legs were 98% free of hair. I did not feel any discomfort while I used on my leg`s skin. I would give an excellent rating to this epilator due to the easiness to use, how it performed and how easy it is to clean. Definitely a "must" for everyone that needs facial and body hair gone without hassle...
Pros: easy to assemble and clean., no preparations needed on the skin before using it
Cons: skip a few patches but nothing major.

Awesome Hair remover

I received the Philips Satinelle Epiltor for free to test and see if its a good product. I enjoyed the ease of this product and it totally removed my unwanted hair. I love the fact that its rechargeable and compact to take with me on the go. I would definitely consider purchasing or recommending this product to family and friends.

I'm always searching for good quality beauty products. As far as hair removal goes I've tried it all. I had the chance to get this for free in exchange for my review, so agreed. Shaving left me with bumps and ingrown hairs, and honestly the thought of hair getting cut at the skins surface and not being pulled out all the way makes me cringe. Hence, I've been waxing for a long time. Compared to waxing it was less painful to me.. I will admit the first time I used it, it was painful but I quickly learned that if I set it to the second speed, make sure the epilator is angled at 90 degrees, and run it over my skin fast enough, it’s painless! Now any time I need to remove hair I use my handy-dandy epilator and within minutes I’m done. The hair grows back thinner than before and removes much easier and painlessly. If you’re a shaver like I used to be, make sure you wax the hair before using this product. If not, the epilator won’t be able to pick up the thick hair as efficient as it would with less dense hair. So wax, let the hairs grow again and then use the epilator. Other than that, this epilator is amazing, especially since you can use it in the shower. It’s definitely worth the price!
