We love our Rockaroo!

We bought Rockaroo for our third child. With our first we bought a tiny, fold up travel swing from a well-known brand. We all, baby included, hated it. With second baby, we bought a full sized, flat motion swing (thing swinging like a door swings open) because the traditional swing had been such a dud for us. While this one seemed to soothe our little one a little better, it was *huge* and still a dud over all for longevity as baby decided he wanted nothing to do with it after about 6 weeks of age. So enter baby three and the Rockaroo. We've been using Rockaroo since the day he came home from the hospital and he loves it! He naps in it every morning and will happily sit in it for decent periods of time (he's still a newborn, after all!) I love how simple it was to put together, how easy it is to move around, it's small footprint and low profile. Oh, and how easy it is to clean! We've already had a couple of diaper blow outs and cleaning the swing was as simple as unzipping the cover and dropping it in the wash! Oh, another great feature - auto-stop! I don't know what the real term for it is but, when I swaddle baby at night, he can't be buckled into the swing so he progressively wiggles his way down the seat. **I am sitting right next to him, he's never left alone, so he's perfectly safe the entire time.** The further down the seat he wiggles, the less the swing moves. Once he hits a certain point, where his weight is too far forward to be safe, the swing stops and turns off. Amazing feature. If you were to forget to buckle baby in and baby wiggles down to the bottom of the seat, the swing will stop so that the motion doesn't assist baby in falling out of the seat! LOVE it! Again, I never leave him when he's swaddled and unbuckled but I love the safety feature because it is just another way that 4Moms has thought of everything with this swing! Great product, awesome company!

We had a regular swing when our baby was born and he would sit in it for 10 mins max. While shopping at Babiesrus we seen the mamaroo and decided to give it a try. Our little guy couldn't stand being in it for longer than 5 minutes. I was desperate to find something he would like other than me holding him I came across the rockaroo I just had a feeling he would love this after I watched a video on the rocking motion. After a week of trying to convince my husband to let me order one (he's response was its a swing he already has one he doesn't need another) it came in and my little man loved it!!
We've been having it for a month and sadly it's not working correctly anymore. I called customer service gave them the number on the bottom and they said I should receive a new one within 2-3 days. I was quite shocked with how easy it was to receive a replacement. I was dreading making the phone call because I figured it would be atleast a 30 minute convo trying troubleshooting and it still wouldn't work. But I was off the phone within 5 minutes. I can't wait for our replacement to come in so we can start using it again.
On a happy note since the rockaroo is broken we have tried using our mamaroo again and little man finally likes it!!

amazing rocking motion

I purchased this in April for our picky 8 week old son. It's the only swing that he would sit in without screaming! He loved the back and forth rocking motion vs the side to side of the mamaroo. Plus it is very compact and leaves a small footprint. The only thing I would change would be to make the straps removable so they could be washed.

Space saver

Our 5 week old baby has loved his rockaroo since the day we brought him home. It's smaller size works good for us so it can stay in our living room without being in the way. I do wish the balls above it rotated, our baby loves to look at them especially when we move them.

Great, but growing out of it fast

My son is 9 weeks old and LOVED the rockaRoo until he grew out of it. It's too bad it couldn't grow with him as he's abnormally large and is working on sitting up on his own, as the motion soothed him perfectly when he was fussy and I couldn't hold him or wear him.
We usually kept it on the lowest setting, especially as he mostly used it for daytime naps and calming his crankies. I was worried the higher settings would launch him out, but it was more an irrational new mom fear than anything substantiated. We got use of the newborn insert and highly recommend it as well. I really wish we could keep using it as he loved it.
My only complaint is that the mobile thing doesn't move on its own. That was kind of cheesy.

Good in theory

This product is nice when it actually works. The problem is that you have to have the baby so exact in the swing in order for it to work properly its exhaustive. If the baby isn't in "correctly", it won't rock and it will turn itself off. Pretty much anytime the baby moves. I also don't notice a difference in the speed of the rocking motions. I wish I would have saved my money for a different one that wasn't so picky. Its frustrating to have to try to figure out a piece of equipment on top of being a new mom with a screaming newborn who just wants to be rocked all day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought the Rockaroo as a push present and would highly recommend to anyone. The product itself is sleek and not gaudy like most childhood rockers and swings. Motion is great for our princess-she's almost 4 months and still loves it. We also would like to applaud their customer service for outstanding friendly and prompt help, as our first had an issue and the felt with it very fast.
