Bought before birth of baby. I don't think the mamaroo itself would be enough support and cushioning for an infant. My newborn was 7.3 lb at birth. He is just shy of2 months and still uses.great product. Just wish it would be included with mamroo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My daughter likes her mamaroo very much! We bought the newborn insert and she loves being all cozy but I wish you could purchase additional plush covers. She is becoming too big for the newborn insert and I have the classic black one and its a little rough for her.

Necessary accessory

I received this as a shower gift. It's perfect in the mamaroo. My daughter loves being in the mamaroo n the insert allows us to tuck a receiving blanket in around her between the sides of the insert and regular seat.
I would recommend this to a friend!
