Perfect for newborns!

We love our MaMaRoo with the newborn insert. It made our newborn daughter feel snug and secure. The insert is perfect for making them feel secure. Now she is 3 months old and we have the insert out. She loves to look at the balls hanging above her head. There are so many different settings and sounds. It's easy to find the perfect one that your baby will love. I say that this is a registry must have!

I wish I knew when I registered for the MamaRoo, that I should register for the newborn insert as well. It was not until my son was born and I set him in it that I realized he was not yet supported the way he should be and the insert was a necessity. Personally, I would have preferred, whether I got this as a gift or purchased it on my own, to pay a bit extra and have the newborn insert included in the original purchase as an accessory. Instead, I had to order it and wait for it to arrive before using my MamaRoo. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal, but not something I wanted to think about while I was trying to manage a newborn as a first time mom. Once the insert arrived, my son was able to fit comfortably in the MamaRoo while being supported appropriately. Perhaps there is a way that people can be informed of the need for the insert when registering or purchasing the MamaRoo, whether in the store or online.

A life saver with a newborn

Our "little" guy (8lb10.5oz at birth) slept in his Mamaroo for the first 2 weeks with the infant insert. We made it extra cozy by tucking a receiving blanket under the insert on either side from his waist down, kind of like he was swaddled.
He's now a month old, and has almost outgrown the insert. He had an "accident" in the seat yesterday, and the ability to take the insert out and wash it was great.

Note: washing both the insert and the seat as directed plumped them both up again after they had compressed from use.

Great! Just One Question

So far we love the infant insert for the Mamaroo swing and our baby seems to love it too. However, nowhere are there any directions on drying the insert. Everywhere I go it says "machine washable" which is great, but does that mean that you have to hang dry it? Otherwise wouldn't it way, "washer and dryer safe"? So, is it safe to try the insert?

We're happy to learn you love the newborn insert - we do too! The insert is machine washable. Use cold water and the gentle cycle. Do not use bleach, tumble dry separately on low heat, remove promptly and enjoy!

A friend of mine just had a baby girl and no one could figure out how to soothe or comfort her throughout the day. It would take what seemed like decades to put her to sleep. After trying out a number of rockers and swings, I bought her the MamaRoo and the infant seat insert with lots of hope but little to no faith. After the first 10 minutes of testing, the little stinker was OUT ;-) She loves being in the MamaRoo and for all of us it's a true life saver and peace maker ! As an expecting mommy to be of triplets I will be purchasing 3! I would recommend this product to every parent of an infant or child up to 25 lbs. I wish there was one for parents since I'm suffering from insomnia at the moment HAHA I would like to thank 4moms for the wonderful creation and let the company know how good of a job it has done as a whole to defeat the other companies and provide new mothers with a peace of mind knowing that we can get stuff done around the house as well be assured that our babies are safe in such a wonderful product. I saw the mamaroo when I was pregnant and knew I had to have one for my new baby that was due in June 2015. My mom got him one for the baby shower in April and my son came 6 weeks early only weighing 3lbs 13oz. So then I purchased the newborn insert, the new design and he loves it. He fits so perfect in it even now that he is 2 months and 9lbs.
