The infant insert is necessary for a newborn. My 5 lb 11 oz daughter wouldn’t fit without it.

Not good support for baby's head

It did it's job of keeping my newborn centered in the swing but the flat part for his head is too rigid and it tips his head forward or he had to turn his head to the side.. Maybe try to put a little more give in the head piece so baby can rest his/her head back in a neutral, more comfortable way.

Bought before birth of baby. I don't think the mamaroo itself would be enough support and cushioning for an infant. My newborn was 7.3 lb at birth. He is just shy of2 months and still uses.great product. Just wish it would be included with mamroo.

The absolute BEST! Feels so soft and the baby is so comfortable in it!
