Broken at 6 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love having an ice maker however at 6 months the grid that makes/cuts the ice broke. Apparently the part is on back order so we wait to see if they can find it. Very frustrating as we have not made it to a year yet.

Working Great!

My only constructive feedback is that the installation instructions could be more clear about what parts are needed and the different ways to install (pump vs no pump etc.).

Buy Earplugs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Whirlpool icemaker I have purchased ... the other one lasted for 7 years. While the previous one was great and quiet, that is NOT the case for this one. Every times it goes into a cycle ... which is WAY too often for the amount of ice II use, it sounds like there is a semi in the room. Installing it was more difficult that it needed to be because the lack of precise instructions was/is obvious. ONE sentence would have saved me two days ... i.e., remove connector if hooking up directly to water source! This is the second Whirlpool appliance I have replaced this year .. and it is the LAST!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
