[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the ice. This was the fourth ice maker we have had in 15 years under the counter in our kitchen. They were trashed when one had a messed up controller and the other two loss refrigerant. This new one arrived with a bolt screwed in crooked and the Whirlpool label applied crooked, but it makes ice! I saved the door handle lip and water pump from the last one so if they failed, I didn’t have to order new ones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fast, quiet and reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast, quiet and reliable. This is my second Whirlpool ice machine. The first one lasted 32 years. I only wish this one made slightly larger cubes. The first one was adjustable, and the large size was perfect!

We waited a few years before obtaining this new one and it's exactly what we expected from Whirlpool! Thank you Whirlpool for continuing to provide excellent products!

Very Happy Customer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago. So far we really like it. Very easy to use the ice. I don't have to worry about breaking the ice up before scooping it, like I did on the last ice machine. The ice is not clear as advertised but it makes a lot of ice in a short amount of time. It's very quite. I used an external filter and it was much less expensive than the internal one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replacement for Kitchen Aid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replacement for Kitchen Aid ice maker that lasted only seven years. Appears to be almost identical. Installation wasn't too hard, had to add drain hose because the home builder had put the drain in the wrong place.
