Easy to Install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement of the same model that I installed 14 years ago, because the old unit was reliable. The old ice maker suddenly stopped working and I decided to not put money into repairing an old appliance. This unit dropped right in and set up in less than 10 minutes. My ONLY complaint is that there is a loud (intermittent) oscillating sound coming from this unit that was not present in the old unit. It is not a good sound, almost like a part is already wearing out. For this reason, I removed one star from the review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is actually the second Whirlpool ice maker I've had. the first one was bought twenty years ago and has just now given up the ghost; the reason I bought this new Whirlpool ice maker. I highly recommend this ice maker!

Squealing pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After owning my whirlpool icemaker for one month I am happy with everything except for one extra it came with. The circulating pump was bad from day one and just kept getting louder and louder. The repairman came yesterday has the part ordered and should have us up and running in about two weeks. Even though we’ve had this Minor backset I still like my icemaker and would buy it again
