Ice access too narrow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The icemaker seems to operate fine but there is only a narrow slit to access the ice. Above the slit is a plastic panel that falls off if you hit it with the scoop, so I had to tape it down to keep it in place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installation and Operation is Simple

Our refrigerator ice maker was unable to provide enough ice for our use, which prompted me to buy a separate ice maker. We no longer run short.
I have another KITCHENAID Ice Maker that I bought 6 years ago, so I was already very familiar with the cleaning, operation, and features of the brand. I would recommend it to anyone considering purchasing a standalone Ice Msker.

Love the Clear Small Ice, Love the Speed of Icemak

The new icemaker was easy to install, rapidly generated tons of ice. I love the taste, the clear look, and the speed of refill.

Perfect Clear Ice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this one to replace our 10 year old. Pretty much the same cabinet ready model. This one has the option of an optional cartridge ice cleaner which I also bought. Big difference in the ice clarity and taste.
