I wouldn't buy this unit

Ever since this front load washer was installed it always makes a horrible noise from imbalance when washing a load of laundry. It doesn't matter if it's a small load or a large load, there always is an unusual amount of imbalance and sometimes the wash cycle ends early because of it. The unit is level and is only on top of the optional storage pedestal. I can't imagine mounting this vertically with the dryer. The whole thing would topple over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
