Frustrating Controls

We purchased this washer and matching dryer 18 months ago to replace a 15 year old Whirlpool set (that still functioned, by the way). First I will say, the washer does clean well and I am surprised at how much I like the automatic detergent dispensing tank. What I don't like (and what should be so much better when you spend almost three grand) is the electronic controls. They are supposed to retain in memory the settings you last used, but now after 18 months you cannot rely on that at all. Randomly, the detergent dispenser will be turned off, or other settings seem to change on their own. If I'm not very attentive each time I turn the unit on I'll end up washing a load without detergent, or with water temperature that changed from the last time the setting was used.
Also, the cycle signal on both the washer and dryer seem to have a mind of their own. They are cumbersome to set, and constantly change. I need it on the highest setting but about every other use it turns itself down to a lower setting or off altogether.
To sum up, if I were rating only the cleaning aspect, this would get five stars. However, I expected more out of this expensive of a purchase regarding the controls. You shouldn't have to be constantly worried about settings changing randomly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Load & Go Awesome Feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washer about a month ago and didn't realize what I was getting with the load & go feature - I love it! The one downfall, depending on the type of detergent you use, you may have to adjust the concentration. If you do, there is no way of checking if the adjustment occurred. However, if the machine is not getting detergent, an error message will appear.

Delivery issues but great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took many months to receive the washer and dryer. The dryer was damaged and was not accepted. We are still waiting for a replacement. The delivery service that "installed" the washer did not remove three of the four shipping bolts. My husband realized the problem after a few attempts to use the washer. The washer kept walking and was very loud. It damaged our newly painted wall. We are also stacking the machines no kit was included with the install.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does not spin all of water out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this and matching dryer 6 weeks ago to replace Duet washer and dryer. The old washer would spin more water from the clothes than this one. In a lot of case we have to do and additional drain an spin cycle.
