We bought this for our daughter's 3rd birthday. She said it was her favorite part of the day! Other family members got her the accessories to go with it. It was easy to understand the assembly directions and took my husband and I about 2 hours after the kids went to bed.

Better check it before you assemble!!!! Missing key part!!

Very disappointed!!!! Went through the whole assembly and discovered it was missing the top piece!!!! Cant attach the microwave or freezer door!! Very unhappy!!!!!!! Not a great Christmas present idea. Better open and check the box before disappointment hits on Christmas day!!!

Got this for my 3 year old daughter. She loves it! Shipped pretty quick. I was worried about the assembly. But I am a single mom and put it together all on my own in 2.5 hours. Seems super sturdy. She loves the ice cubes and already has her own art hung up on it!

I LOVE Melissa and Doug toys! However, when I purchased the playset kitchen for my granddaughters, I was somewhat disappointed by the quality. I assembled it and the directions were moderately simple enough to follow. There were some minor chips in the edges and we chipped out a small piece when assembling it. I expected it to be the best quality since I paid considerably more money for this toy. I was looking for a toy that would be an heirloom piece and I don't feel like this one will last for years of play. I will still buy this brand but will be more careful about what pieces I select. I will see how it holds up over time but I won't hold my breath!
