I would not buy this doll on line again, see comments

although not asked to choose a white or ethnic doll when I purchased. The doll delivered is 'ethnic' in that it is very dark, my granddaughter doesn't care and I really don't except that a number of people at her party asked why I got her a 'minority' doll. This did lead me to look at the on line catalog to see if a choice was given (it was and is not now either). The doll shown looks like a little lightskinned baby, yet the doll sent to my grandaughter is not. Why?

I purchased this doll for my granddaughter but it looks nothing like the pictures on their website. I assumed that since the doll did not match the description and pictures on the website that M&D would pick up return shipping. NOPE. And the shipping turned out to be $10+ more than the cost of the doll! I now have a doll that I don't want. I guess the message here is don't buy if you aren't absolutely sure you want it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this doll for Xmas for my great granddaughter and was disappointed that it came darker skinned when the picture clearly shows it to be a white baby. I AM NOT PREJUDICED but for her first baby I wanted a white doll. In your description of dolls, you need to make sure you're describing the details properly! That being said, I love that the eyes open and close and her outfit was cute. It was the perfect size for a one year old.
I would recommend this to a friend!
