Jul. 6, 2020; Update Whjirlpool Dishwasher: WDT 730PAHZ; Marc Bitzer, CEO whirlpool appliances
Dear CEO Marc, [July 6, 20] I am sorry to report that one of your greatest problems, at least in your large appliances division, is very poor quality control and engineering design manufacturing. I am referring to your dishwasher WDT 730PAHZ. 1) The insertion of soap and Finish liquid area needs to be enlarged. For the Finish Dry unit, I needed a magnifying glass because the area was so small, and in addition, it was a dark color—should have been light gray or ivory—seemingly an easy design. I still am unable to figure out the ‘full’ designation for the Finish drying unit. Also, mugs and glasses require tilting or it will contain water after 4 hours. My former Hotpoint of fifty (50) years took 20 mins to wash and after one hour or more, everything was dry. And all we had to do was fill the unit, close the door, and press the “on” button. Your computerized dishwasher reflects low quality customer concern. IMLee, Stanford, CA with copies to some members of the Board/Exec Divsn.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleans really good. But it is not quiet. Very small interior. Does not hold a lot of dishes compared to our last one. Feels very cheaply made. The top drawer rubs and makes a rubbing noise when you slide it in. It vibrates a lot at first, then quiets down. You can literally twist the door when open, like a piece of tin would bend. It doesn't take long to do a load, because there are not that many dishes in it. Overall I like it, yet I sometimes wonder?? Especially for the amount money it cost.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher came with our new home but I would buy it again in the future. It is both beautiful and high functioning, meeting the demands of our family of 5.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We LOVE our new Whirlpool dish washer. We replaced our old one that was only 2 years old.I was a big headache.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 2 months ago and I love it! It is rather small in size, but is very nice and high-quality. I love the stainless steel tub!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door actually bends when it is only slightly torqued. The racks are poorly designed and not convenient. Have to hand wash pans. Way too expensive for this entry quality washer. I bought it online because no one had one and I needed a ADA compliant dishwasher asap. The handle fell off after less than a month and the door had to be taken apart to fix it. It does clean well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
