Dangerous Controls

I love this oven but I am not happy that I have to take the controls knobs off with every use. If I leave them on the stove top can be turned on accidently just by brushing up against the knob. It should be much harder to turn these on. I think the design is flawed. The knobs should have either been placed on the top or at an angle where it would be harder for them to accidently turn on. I bought an expensive stove top cover that was damaged due to one of the burners turning on without me knowing it until I smelled something burning. It could have been very ugle if I left the house without noticeing the smell. Not happy with issue at all.
Pros: ease of use, Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible! Do not purchase!

This oven/stove has been terrible! The knobs turn on just by barely leaning against it which is a very dangerous fire and burn hazard! The numbers are so faint that you can barely read them. I cannot get anything to simmer and I constantly have things burn. It's like the eyes only burn on high. I hate this oven! Do not recommend at all! Its way overpriced for the quality. I'm not sure if we just have a lemon or not but it would be great if LG would be willing to replace it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a few weeks ago. There was a little bit of a learning curve at the beginning, but a few minutes with manual and we were ready to cook Thanksgiving dinner.
Sleek design Easy install Great convection and baking options

Burners heat uneven
on June 10, 2025

In addition to the front control issue and having to lock them to keep from burning the house down, the two large burners do not heat correctly. The front right burner heats way beyond the number selected. The left front burner doesn't heat fully when the large burner is selected.

Response from lg.comBy LG DIgital Care, June 13, 2025
We appreciate you leaving a review, Dhall! Let's get your LG cooktop back to top performance. If your display shows "Loc," it might be in Child Lock Mode, press and hold the Lock Out or Control Lock button for three seconds to clear it, then wait 15 seconds before using the cooktop. To address burner issues, identify which ones are affected, the left front burner may need a connection check, while the front right burner heating too high could indicate a control concern. Try a power cycle by unplugging the cooktop for five minutes before plugging it back in. Also, ensure the burner caps are properly seated for even heating and check for residue buildup, as food debris can affect performance. Let us know if you need further assistance. Always here to lend a helping hand! 😊 ^Anthony
