Great buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed by how easy this product was to set-up. It's extremely quite, the manual was easy to read, and the features were well thought-out. Loved that it offered a piece to add aromatics (bought lavender oil to put in the holder, very relaxing). My Dad has sinus issues and he sleeps with this at night which really helps them feel less irritated in the morning.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base

Great quality humidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vornado Element A2 Air + Steam Humidifier is sleek, easy to use and excellent quality. The design is great - sleek enough to show off in the living room yet compact enough to easily store away when not in use. It's so simple to use, with large fill canisters so you don't have to continuously refill it. I love that it has an auto feature, so it can sense when there's enough humidity in the room. It's also awesome that you can easily add essential oils to freshen up the house and create a more relaxed environment. It works great enough that it provides enough moisture in my entire studio apartment, and if I were to move to a bigger residence, I would definitely consider buying an additional to get the same effects. Overall, I'd recommend this humidifier to anyone looking for an easy, safe and quality way to provide more humidity in the winter.

Cranks out tons of clean, mineral-free water vapor

No filters to replace, no wicks to clean or replace. This little wonder generates TONS of water vapor. ...enough to humidify about 1500sq. ft. The only drawback is because it's so good, you have to fill the tanks at least twice per day if it's running all the time. You'll also need to clean and descale it once a week (soak the power head for an hour in vinegar or descaling solution). The minerals in your water have to go somewhere! Boiling water also makes a little burbling noise but it's not intrusive. It's just not as quiet as an ultrasonic. ...But no minerals in the air and no "white dust" everywhere. Highly recommend this product.

I bought this about a month ago. First the handle snapped off while I was carrying a full tank back to the machine. It cracked so I wound up with water everywhere.
Then it just stopped working. They’re sending me a replacement which was very hassle free so at least they have the customer service thing down.
I just expected better quality especially at the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a fantastic humidifier. It makes an actual difference in the feel of the room. It's quiet and easy to keep clean and hygienic. My only disappointment with it is the display. In one of the product videos I watched before purchasing, it was advertised as dimming in response to the lighting of the room. Mine did not, and when I called Vornado Customer Service, the very nice rep told me that she'd asked the product designers who confirmed that the display was only supposed to dim "a little." This was annoying to me, because like most people, I want to use the humidifier in my room at night, and the light it produces is extremely bright. I had to cut out a piece of paperboard to cover it, and tape it to the humidifier. Not ideal. :/

I bought this hoping to increase the humidity of my office. I have an "Awair" air quality monitor that gives my humidity measurements too. The Element A2 was unable to maintain any consistent humidity %, and would only work if set higher than 50% humidity, indicating that its hygrometer is inaccurate. But, that is livable, if annoying.
The other day, it suddenly started leaking. Thankfully I can see it from my desk because one of the tanks was emptying out and would have damaged our floor.
For a flagship, top of the line unit, this was extremely disappointing. I love my other Vornado products, but they are all fans. Maybe stick to the fans.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best humidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My entire family loves this humidifier! There are a few features that really give this product a leading edge: temperature adjustment; humidity control; and 2-tank system. Since the Vornado steam humidifier allows user to adjust the output up to 70% humidity, this machine can move a lot of water in a short amount of time. We refill the tanks frequently. This would typically be an annoying task with out previous humidifiers, which all had one large, heavy tank. This machine is designed with 2 tall, slim tanks that are easy to carry & set into the sink! Even when a tank is full, they are still lightweight & easy to maintain! Additionally, the humidifier adequately covers the entire first floor of my home! I can't imagind that I'll find a better humidifier - I see this machine having a long future in our home! I highly recommend the Vornado Steam Humidifier to anyone!
