A breeze to operate and keep the tanks clean!

I really love the clear tanks with the wide openings. I know immediately if there’s a water clarity issue. I’ve had mine a few weeks and run it 24/7 without issues. I set it at 50% humidity and let it go. I’ve cleaned the tanks twice but I keep a Protec Humidifier Cleaning Fish in each tank. When I saw the water was a little murky in one tank I broke everything down according to the manufacturers instructions, cleaned with bleach and reassembled. Next cleaning I’ll have to use distilled vinegar to remove buildup on the heating element. Considering it’s continuous running while my heat is on and ease of use in operation and filling the tanks, it’s the best of the 4 humidifiers I’ve owned.

The Very Best Humidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit can adjust to your preference. It can provide cool steam or hot steam. I have not been able to adjust to warm steam but that does not affect my judgment. The unit allows for you to select the percentage of humidity you want. We set it to 50% and have kept the unit on cool steam due to the warmth of our area for this time of year. My most favorite part of the unit is the ability to add essential oils to a separate cup specifically made just for your oils. This unit works 1000 sq ft whic is perfect for our homes open floor plan. It is small, compact and looks good. It is not bulky or an eye sore. I love that the controls are fully adjustable and will cut off automatically when more water is needed to be added. The unit is easy to clean and does not have annoying filters to buy or change. I love this unit and am so happy to have in my home. Since we suffer from sinus infections this unit has been a blessing to cut the dry air and keep us all breathing well.

I purchased this humidifier a month ago after returning several ultrasonic ones that left a white mist everywhere and didn't seem to help the bedroom much. The vornado is a game-changer. It keeps the entire room moist, without creating damp carpet spots or white mist on the furniture. You can choose cold, lukewarm or warm mist depending on your needs or preference. The unit is very easy to clean, but due to the steam, it does not require half the maintenance of other types of humidifiers. It is extremely easy to refill and efficient. I love this model and recommend it to anyone looking to humidify small to medium sized rooms.

Great humidifier, with bonus features

This model is more decorative than our previous black model and has larger water reservoirs. As expected it works great. As an added bonus you can add in essential oils for aromatherapy. We are really pleased with the product so far and look forward to using this next generation of humidifiers more this winter.

Versatile Humidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Vornado Element Air + Steam Humidifier for the past week. This is the best Humidifier I have ever owned. It has Hot ,Warm and cool air settings. It also has a aromatherapy scent cup. Which I love. My whole down stairs smells amazing. Comes assembled,easy to follow directions. You can adjust the humidity settings. Also has a auto button . I just use the auto button it senses how much moisture is needed. I like that you can set it for how long you want your humidifier to run.

Versatile and Time Saving

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing about the Vornado Steam Humidifier is its versatility. It can change from cool mist to hot mist and even has a medium warm mist function. The fill canisters are simple to fill, with their easy twist on and off tops and they drop right into the unit. All of the functions are intuitive, including the percentage of humidity and timer controls. The only issue I found is the color difference between the cool and warm mist is not easily discernible as they are both a purplish color. Once activated, it fires up in no time, and it's not long before a room is at your desired humidity level. In a 12 x 13 room, running at 60% humidity, the canisters lasted about 15 minutes short of the advertised 12 hour advertised refill time. Not bad! In my home, this unit will likely take the place of three cheaper humidifiers and prevent many of the dry-air health problems that arise in the dead of a Midwestern winter.

Love this humidifier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a daughter that is always getting a bloody nose. During the night she gets it everywhere. (Not fun waking up to a 6 year old screaming about all the blood) so when I got this humidifier i was super excited about the different settings from cold, medium, hot. The cold runs 24/7. She hasnt had a single bloody nose at night since plugging it in. Now my oldest is getting sick and we can still use the same humidifier on hot and the essential oil cup. The tanks last all night on 30% humidity. In small rooms on hot with higher humidity the machine gets to hot and shuts off. I really like that feature too!

Really nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Vornado steam humidifier for a week now. The pros that I have noticed are that it holds a lot of water, it is very quiet, and it has a nice design to it. The cons are that it is bulky and heavy (but it does hold a lot of water), and it is hard to tell if it is working when it is on the cool setting. When using the steam humidifier on the hot setting, it is really nice. You can hear the water steaming up and you can actually see it coming from the top. The essential oil cup is an amazing addition and really works well to smell up the entire room when you use it on the hot setting. However, it doesn't do anything when it is on the cool setting. Also, I have noticed that there are supposed to be 3 lights to signify which setting it is on. mine only shows a purple light, so it is hard to tell when it is on cool or warm. I like that it boils the water before dispersing it. This really helps with the mildew issue that a lot of humidifiers have. As far as humidifiers go, I think this is a pretty good one. The price is steep, but it has a lot of good qualities to it. I think that if Vornado worked out a few of the kinks, they could have a 5 star product here.
