Have purchased two lifeproof cases in the past for previous phones and loved them. They provided total protection to my devices. So when it came time to buy this case for my phone I trusted the fact that the case would fully protect my phone. I was wrong. If you are looking for a case to protect you phone from life, this isn't it. Unlike previous lifeproof cases I have bought this case doesn't even cover your camera or screen. This case does the same thing as any other cheap case you can buy, but it costs twice as much. This case is life resistant at best, can't recommend buying, because it isn't actually going to protect your phone. This is the last time I will blindly trust the lifeproof brand. If your thinking about buying this case, don't do it. Save your money and buy a cheap shock resistant case.

I bought this case rather than the defender series of OtterBox simply because I wanted a slimmer case, but with the hope it would still be just as protected. I drop my phone a lot and need it to hold up against a bit of abuse. So far, it's held up nicely. I haven't dropped it yet, though. So hopefully, when the time comes, it'll come out fine from the ordeal.

Volume buttons stop being responsive

Great case initially but the rubber sides quickly wore off and the rubber buttons over the volume up/down soon became unresponsive. I then had to take the phone out of the case to adjust the volume. A one year warranty for an expensive case which is "LifeProof" is ridiculous. This case was anything but "LifeProof". Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I though this case wouldn't be able to handle my life style. It is great. Working in construction I need a solid case and I think this will do it. Haven't take it to work yet because I have no way to protect screen from scratches but I'm sure once I get a film screen protector this thing will be solid.
