Mostly good news, a single annoying flaw

Protection and sleek design are awesome on this phone. My one complaint is that the phone's mic can no longer pick up my voice saying "ok Google" to use the assistant. I can still squeeze the phone to open assistant, and open with voice if I remove the case. Otherwise a nice product. Oh and it's almost impossible to clean your phone and the inside of the case enough to really make the back look nice without dust everywhere. So an opaque backed option would be appreciated.

Great Case...BUT

Always loved the Lifeproof case and have had them on several different phones. However, what's missing from this Lifeproof case for my Google Pixel 3XL is the screen protector that has come with other Lifeproof cases for other phones I've had. This case doesn't have one and I didn't see an option to have a Lifeproof case with the screen protector. Maybe that's something Lifeproof can add in the future.

Excellent first try

I have had the Pixel 3XL case for 8 days. In that time I have dropped the phone twice and of course sustained no damage. I previously had the LifeProof case for the original Pixel and that was an outstanding case. My only disappointment with the new case is the lack of waterproofing and cumbersome charging port cover. Not being waterproof is a substantial limitation in a place like Wisconsin where we are regularly near or on water, or dealing with significant rain. This limitation did not exist with the prior case. The new charging port cover is awkward and appears destined to eventually fail as I am forced to twist a piece of plastic bending an unhinged element out of the way. With the prior cover, and it's nearly indestructible hinge, you were able to access the charging port in a much simpler and quicker way. Additionally, the prior port cover allowed for the waterproofing color which this case does not.
Finally, both cases lacked any friction pads which would have prevented them from sliding off smooth surfaces. Although the LifeProof case has securely guarded both my current and prior phones against drops, some of the drops are due to the smooth case sliding off smooth surfaces.

I bought this product and it arrived 2 weeks after I purchased my phone. It might be my fault for not checking when you'll would actually have it out to me but I wasn't able to use my expensive phone due to the fact that I had a 2 week waiting period for a lifeproof case.

This is a great case for my Pixel 3 XL. I especially like the clear back so I can see more of the phone and the open front so I can interact directly with the touchscreen. My only (minor) complaint is the cover of the USB-C port can sometimes be difficult to open, but that's probably better than a cover that won't stay closed.

Solid but want a little more!!

I am changing from an iPhone to a Pixel 3XL and the differences in the case are significant. I will definitely be watching for the waterproof LifeProof case as it comes with a screen protector and a better means of accessing the charge port. I know we are just starting to see the Pixel 3XL, however I am disappointed in the lead time for a case, the lack of options, and the construction. I am SUPER loyal to LifeProof-it's the only case that lasts more than 6 months for me!! I am normally not an early adopter so I may be more bitter at the lack of case options and features than I should be. Overall solid case from a solid brand-just need the option for more coverage!
