It give me peace of mine, but....

The case was very pricey. The USB-C cover gets in the way often. It pushes on the cable and will frequently loosen the connection. I find myself having to disconnect and reconnect the USB-C cable often in order to get my audio to start playing again. I like the see through design very much. It allows me to use skins on my phone which is nice. However, the lack of any grip leaves something to be desired. Do I see myself using this case forever? Probably not. Do I like this being the first case for my new phone? Yes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had this case for about two weeks, now. Originally, I was upset that the Fre was not offered for this phone, as I enjoy going for a run in the rain. So far, I've ran in a drizzle and in a snowstorm, and I haven't had any water issues. Maybe the phone really is water resistant. We'll see for sure when it rains a lot during spring and summer.

Quality but not dustproof

I work outdoors and so a quality case that protects the phone and keeps out dirt a debris is a must. This case is advertised as being dustproof which it is not. Rather, it's more dust resistant. Most of the dirt that gets in my pockets stays out of the case, but even after the first day I got fine particulate matter behind the case. Overall it does a good job, but I wonder if Otterbox defender would have a tighter seal.

Hole in Case for Fingerprint Too Large, Scratched!

The case feels really solid, but the rubber around the sides of the case is thin and even in the first week, just pulling it in and out of my bag etc, tiny parts of the rubber started to come away. The volume buttons are hard to press. But worst of all, I dropped my phone on almost flat ground outside, no rocks, nothing protruding etc, and it scratched the area under the fingerprint sensor, because of the large cut-out. The Pixel reads my fingerprint easily and quickly on that small fingerprint reader, yet the size of the hole in the case for the fingerprint sensor is TWICE the size, leaving it more exposed. So now I have 2 silver scratches on the back of my phone within that hole.
So yeah case feels good and protected but can't even survive a 1metre fall (the fall was even broken, because it knocked into something else before landing on the ground)...
If you look at Rhinoshield's cases for the Pixel 3, the case surrounds the fingerprint area tightly, unlike this case which leaves a vulnerable unprotected area. It was 15USD cheaper too even with a screen impact protector.
Lifeproof also promotes its cases more for adventures and water activities rather than showing how drop-proof it is, so I actually do worry when I drop my phone, and now I have even more reason to!
I would MOST DEFINITELY worry if I were using this case on an outdoor adventure. I didn't even see any gravel where I dropped mine (urban area). But if you're the type who isn't afraid of scratches, Maayybbe it's Ok.
And lastly, I didn't even get my discount code sent to me despite filling in my email numerous times. Then I didn't even get a confirmation email after I ordered the case. Had to keep writing in.
I reckon I could actually get a cheaper case that is as protective, if not, more protective. But I do like the charging port cover and am happy to finally be testing out this brand. :/
