I received my Blendtec a week ago. I heard wonderful things about it from other reviewers online. It's BETTER than I expected, and easier to make all of the things that I bought it for than I thought it would be because of the preprogrammed settings. For example, I can make a green smoothie in 40 seconds by putting a little water in, filling it with leafy greens just the way I bought them, and tossing in a whole apple, or handful of berries and pushing ONE BUTTON, ONE TIME! It takes 8 seconds of preparation and 32 seconds of blending (where I do nothing but watch it adjust it's own speeds, and get a glass out of the cupboard). It takes me 20 seconds to clean up by rinsing the jar and lid with water and setting them upside down to air dry. It's so cool!!

Works great at helping to blend thick smoothies. Only downfall is that the jar lid does not fit tightly (allowing it to 'twist') and liquid spills over, sometimes making a mess! I wish Blentec would offer glass instead of plastic jars.

A gripper lid was included along with the Twister lid. The gripper lid is great for smoothie blends while the Twister lid is perfect for thicker recipes (like hummus and nut butters). Hope this helps!

This new gadget helps me make Malaysian curry paste in a jiffy! However, the downside is the jar is discolored from blending all the spices, especially the turmeric & chilies. Also, wished it was cheaper so I could buy another one for my smoothies. I don't want my smoothies to smell like curry! :)

Wasn't sure how handy this would be, but I'm a big fan of hummus and spreads, so I thought I'd try it. What I didn't realize was that its more petite size fits perfectly under counter when atop my blender, and it's just the right size for a morning smoothie for one. I put in all my fresh greens and fruits with a little ice or water, and get 16 oz of heaven without using the bigger Wildside or Standard jars. LOVE IT! Clean up is simple too. Great product for the money, and dramatically different than any other offering from Blendtec.

The jar wasn’t overloaded and this has never happened to me with the regular jar. I had my hand on the lid as well. The whole contents of the jar exploded inside my kitchen and my green smoothie was all over our almond cabinets, new white tile floors, my face, clothes, stove, fridge sink etc. I’m too scared to use it now. We just had finished doing new our weekly deep cleaning as well. Blendtec please explain why this happened. I’ve had this blender for six years with the regular jar and this has never happened.

I appreciate the size and multifaceted functionality of the twister jar. I am however, disappointed with the fact that it stained the second time I used it. For the jar to stain indicates a level of porosity that is of concern. No matter what I have tried the stain does not come out (even after 20 additional uses with food item not containing any yellow). All foods have also been organic so no chemicals or artificial ingredients.

I received this along with my refurbished Blendtec Classic.
I use it to make sorbets and nut butter.
As long as you don't overfill it, and you cut the frozen fruit for the sorbets to the right size (about one-inch cubes), it works well.
I put in a lot of almonds one night while making almond butter and it took a few processes to get it completely smooth. Once I put the proper amount of almonds in, it worked fine.

It does not work well with Blendtec Pro 800. I do not recommend it if you have the Pro 800. Base is unstable and lid pops off.
