I dig the smaller jar for smaller blends and smoothies but I do notice that it struggles a bit with ice and frozen fruit
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great jar but has one design flaw...

I bought this jar with my blender almost a year ago and I love making peanut butter with this jar and some single serving drinks (which I make daily). This is the greatest jar in the world for nut butters and for single serving drinks like I make. It does however have one design flaw - the base. In order to set this on the blender base you have to align the gear of the jar with the gear on the blender base. The polycarbonate jar base is not large enough to fit over the alignment corners of the blender base and that makes it a pain to get set on the base - hence the 3-star rating. Fix this and you have a 5-star jar!
This worked well for Pesto, but when I try to make a shake in it, it shoots out from around the lid. When I cleaned up and made a smaller shake the next day, it did the same thing, just a little less. I'll use this for thicker things.
Twisty cup is so fun. You turn it while it is blending or you use the optional lid and let it blend away. Blendtec has FAR SUPERIOR accessories than Vitamix. Highly recommend!
I used it once so far. I tried to make almond butter with raw organic almonds. I did it for more than 40 seconds and yet it never liquefied. It became a sticky powder. It was very disappointing. I will try soon (in a week or two) again with pecans which have a higher oil content and see what happens.
Haven’t used it to make nut butters. But I’ve used it for single serve smoothies, salad dressing and marinades. If you’re thinking of getting the mini jar, just spring for this one instead. Then you can use it for small stuff or nut butters without having to break out the big jar. The rubber scraper that comes with it is great for getting the last drop.
