The blender on its nose is great, sharp looking, and as advertised quiet!! However unless you plan on making a full carafe, which is of considerable size, one of two scenarios will happen on the smoothie setting with a carafe that’s such a square. Pockets of unmixed potential get stuck in the corners or an air pocket forms, in either scenario a utensil is required to correct this inconvenience. Admittedly it’s a small matter for an otherwise solid blender but for the price, reputation, and potential it’s an unfortunate occurrence.
I like the blender quite well and have no complaints about its operation. I give it four stars because it came with almost no information and not recipes. I don't like searching on line to get answers.
This blender outperformed my expectations… I have a blendtec 575. I wanted something that was quieter, I can close the lid and continue a conversation in the kitchen. That wasn’t the case with my 575. Also worth noting is the consistency of my protein shakes are soooo much better I assume it’s from the more powerful motor. But it’s a game changer imo. If you’re wondering if it’s worth the 800 bucks. I would say easily.
i bought this so make my protein shakes bu it wouldnt even blend ice correctly. it also seemed complicated instead of just doing blend. support wasnt great as i am only with the product at night. very disappointed based on the price it should do ice well.,

Several years ago after a few Total Blendtec models I decided to go all in for the Pro 800, awesome reduction in sound...WOW....exactly what I needed....powerful. A few years in started having issues of blending....called Customer Service and by listening they could tell the machine needed to be replaced....great customer service yet I thought with the amount of money invested such an issue just making smoothies would be non-existant. Received a refurbished model, back in business .....a few years later ...the Pro 800 is now smoking...again not even using daily, mostly smoothies.....called customer service this time they said it would be repaired or replaced......so to be fair I appreciate Blendtec standing behind their warranty but very disappointing to go through this again especially due to the usage of a couple of times a week. Sending in and will see what happens.
I would expect a blender this pricey with an 1800 watt motor to be able to handle a lot! My Nutribullet handled my shakes better. No smell or burning out warning saying it was "overloaded." I am very wary of this blender as I've had 2 other "refurbished" models that burned out really fast with just a few frozen strawberries and brocolli!
This has already warned me of "overload" and has an electrical burn smell just by doing a regular shake cycle. What is that all about??
I am thinking I made a mistake and need to get a blender that has no problem handling a few frozen berries and veggies. This one is unexpectedly cheap and buggy.
