MacDaddy of Blenders

This blender is top notch. I bought this at the beginning of the year (my husband wasn't thrilled with the price) and for the past 8 months it has been the greatest addition to my kitchen and food prep. It grinds nuts without a stutter and purées anything in no time. It's quiet, beyond easy to clean and looks amazing! (My husband is now a huge fan and says he's so glad he got it for me - ha!). Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

Our primary concern was to purchase a quiet blender, and this fits the bill completely. All the settings are extremely useful for different kinds of jobs. We love it and are 100% satisfied with this purchase. It is very expensive, but worth it to us.

I purchased this for our restaurant about a month ago and love it! Our bar area is pretty small and any other blender we've had has just been too loud. This one can be run without anyone struggling to hear! It also blends the smoothest drinks of any blender I've tried. It's an amazing product and I highly recommend it!

I purchased Blendtec Professional 800 about two months ago. I know couple of people who own Vitamix, but I remembered using Blendtec when I worked in a café years ago. I really did my research, compared all Vitamix and Blendtec blenders, and the choice was easy: Blendtec! After all, Vitamix copied Blendtec (google: Vitamix vs Blendtec lawsuit). Plus, when compared, even the most expensive Vitamix is not as powerful as Blendtec, plus Vitamix charges couple of hundreds of dollars more - for a product which is not even comparable to Blendtec. With tax this model cost me more than a month's rent, but both my husband and I are glad we bought it. Love it!

I’m really torn. I used a Ninja for years that did the basic job but couldn’t breakdown dates, spinach and berry seeds. I vowed to one day buy an expensive blender that could. I worked at a GNC smoothie bar over a decade ago and similar to all professional places- the texture is what we want! Not too thin- not too thick; no chewing please. I’m a smoothie junkie- at least once a day. I also make açaí bowls religiously. I bought a vitamix months ago and it co tinued to have cavitation issues. I returned it. I chose this Blendtec even though the price is painful. I even said Oh well- I’ll buy the twister jar too.
So here we are... the regular blender is great if you want a really runny smoothie. Follow any of their recipes and it’s like a milk thickness and just sad. Want thicker? You’ll have to open the lid just like any other blender and spoon the ingredients around multiple times to avoid cavitation and a thin smoothie. That’s a freakin bummer for the price. Insert the twister jar... great for ice cream for the kids but I have made huge messes multiple times trying to clean it or do a thicker smoothie.
Overall, I’m trying to be patient and see how it goes but I feel like I paid way too much to be opening the cover and the lid to still stir the smoothie. I will say the Ninja- didn’t really have the cavitation problems these more expensive ones have had and it’s weird because it supposedly is weaker? The blendtec does breakdown dates and spinach so far but I do run multiple programs.

I bought this 4 years ago. Previous $70 blenders only lasted an average of 3 months. I use it twice a day for my gym ice smoothies and this is the only one able to stand this heavy loads of frozen fruits, rough vegetables, nuts, ice cubes all the heavy stuff that is hard to crush in a cheap blender. (Quality over quantity)

Best blender I've tried so far

This blender was a Christmas present from my hubby. I wanted something quiet but powerful and this is the best I've owned. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is I can't get the quiet shield completely down when blending even though I make sure the lid is totally snapped on to the wild jar. Even so, this blender is much more quiet than any other. I'm happy with it.

Quiet & Capable

I bought this to replace a Blendtec 675. That blender was already more than I needed. It was a monster that blew through any task I threw at it with ease. Only two things about the 675 bothered me;
1. I worried the top would pop off and ingredients would fly everywhere. This never actually happened in a couple years of use but had the potential to occur. I had the Wildside jar with the old lid. The new lid seals much better.
2. My old 675 was loud on full blast. I felt like I was disturbing my wife and daughter while making my 5:30 am smoothie. They slept through it but it was loud.
This blender is mighty and powerful. It purees, blends, mixes, and makes nut butters even faster than my 675. My 500 dollar food processor makes almond butter in 7 minutes. My old 685 made almond butter in exactly 53 seconds. My new Pro 800 makes almond butter in 27 seconds. That's a big percentage difference but I may be splitting hairs here.
Where this blender shines is it's low noise level. Man it's quiet! I don't close all the doors and windows to be courteous to my neighbors anymore, and I live in an unattached house. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so we don't have a lot of space between the places. But this blender is so quiet that someone reading or listening to music in the other room isn't disturbed.
The cage holds the top on tight. It's not going anywhere. It's nice to have the confidence to let the blender go unattended without a worry. I'm quite happy with this purchase.
