Epic blender so far. Only had it few weeks. Blended oranges into juice smoothly. Made ice cream, somewhat successfully. It crushes ice no problem. Powerful and quiet. I tried making carrot juice and was unable to blend it smoothly but may need to try again. I look forward to years of service and fun. I would definitely recommend this model to others, especially if you can get it on a nice sale.

Just got this beast, and it is so quiet and powerful!
I had the more standard model blendtec for about 4 years and it was always a fantastic blender and pretty much got the job done.
I thought I'd give the vitamix a shot, since I heard so many things about their tamper and how well it provides smooth blends. Purchased one and found it weak, and couldn't quite handle the more solid and frozen items quite like the blendtec could. And the tamper was annoying. I ended up returning it.
I got this beast, because I felt an upgrade was in order. Wow, I didn't realize just how amazing this thing is until I finally stated using it! VERY quiet and pretty much blends ANYTHING you put in that jar. Worth every penny!

Great Blender; Some Challenges that I had to face

It is an amazing product! But at only 8 months old and use lightly in the Kitchen; was making some soup, which I have done a few times with no issue, for some reason, today the motor started to smoke (visible smoke) and slow, while on soup mode.
Although I had an issue, I might have just got one that was not right, which happens with any with electronics (just happens). With all that said, really nice machine. Would give it 5 stars if I did not have this issue. I will update my review after I see how the Warranty Process works.
