I bought this about a month ago and I'm so happy I did. This is the only appliance we use on a daily. It's practical and easy to use even for my 10 year old. I'm very happy about the cover and the minimal noise it makes.
The raw power and even the intelligents of this machine is much more than I could have hoped for. I often found myself waist deep in anxiety after I ordered this machine, waiting for it to arrive, wondering if it would be worth it and what I would do if I was being jipped. But when it came in it came through on it's promises. I'm so in love with this thing! Truely professional. Melter signing out.
A total new experience in food prep . The blender operates nice and quiet ! It cleans easily ! The experiments and fun likely never ending ! And be assured with a great warranty and a great manufacturer you can’t hardly have to much fun !
Frankly, this is pretty expensive for a blender. But...dang if it isn't quiet and powerful!. We bought our first blendtec from Costco about 15 years ago and used it daily. Powerful and LOUD! Finally time to buy another (although the first still runs fine). Sprung for the extra as our nerves aren't as flexible before coffee as they once were. Fabulous buy (did I mention it's kind of expensive for a blender? Still, if factored over 15 years I guess it's a pretty good investment). Happy with the purchase now going on two months.

Years ago I began my search for the best blender/pulverizer/mixer on the market to make green smoothies among other uses like grinding flax for example. After many hours and weeks of searching I decided on an entry level Blendetc. After over 13 years, 3000 smoothies, and grinding a bunch of other stuff, I decided to do my ears a favor and step up to the Pro 800. I can honestly say that when it comes to the brand name there is nothing that compares to the Blendtec, and when it comes to the Blendtec nothing compares to the Pro 800. I will add that the Designer 725 also has the 3.8hp and if you want to save a couple hundred but noise is the issue the Designer 725 is a bit quieter then models with the 3.0 hp motor, even without the cover. That being said I would not have paid $1,100 but for $800 this machine is worth every penny and then some.
I had a Blendtec blender that I used twice a day for several years and developed tinnitus over time. So I bought this blender which is a lot quieter. I still leave the room when the blender is operating and wear ear protection because I don’t want my tinnitus to get any worse. One nice thing about this blender is the top is held down by the plastic enclosure so the top can’t pop off while in operation.
