I bought the Blendtec Go about a month ago and it is an awesome purchase! It is so convenient being able to blend inside a 16oz. disposable cup for single serve use. Keeps the clean up minimal. I would recommend using fresh fruit as opposed to frozen if you’re making smoothies. The blades don’t seem to like dense frozen fruit. I am so happy I have a Blendtec as opposed to the other highend brands so that I can use the Blendtec Go!! I would recommend this to others!
I got this is a gift for Christmas and I use it daily sometimes twice a day. And I'm extremely happy with how quick the cleanup is and how I am not making over the proper serving size.
This cup looks it's $s! Well designed, easy to use, sturdy. I use it to make lemon ice water daily. I am actually drinking more water, that is a necessity for me which I usually don't do.
And yes, first time out of the box, I overtightened the blender lid and it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to unscrew it. Now, when this happens, I put it back on the machine and turn the tumbler counter clockwise - like 2 minutes on a clock, that simply unlocks the lid without leaking.
I brought mine over the holiday when they had a special. I was thinking of buying the nutribullet for my single portion smoothies. I had been using my Twister jar but I think my regular top is in storage. So I have had to use the Twister top that you use for nut butters and such. That is not great for smoothies!
Then I saw this and decided to purchase it. I liked the fact that I did not need an additional appliance. I have very little counter or cabinet space.
I love the solo cup usage. Like others I do think the 16 oz cup is a little small. However, It has worked fine for me. Unlike others, I fill mine to the top and it does not spill over. I do however have to run the cycle twice sometimes. You just need to remember to put the hard stuff at the bottom.
I got similar cups from Sams club. The cups were the Sams brand. They come with 120 cups which is a manageable size for a family.
I bought this during the 100.00 promotion. I don’t think I would pay 149.00. Very convenient if you are making anything for one. Love using the Solo cups. The key is not to overfill. I did do that a couple of times. Small learning curve.
I bought this on the sale price. I do love it but have an impossible time getting the base off. I dont even tighten it that much but somehow it either self tightens or creates a suction. I've used it both with an without a solo cup. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I got this for Christmas and love it!! Great idea for on-the-go morning smoothies, especially when using the dixie cups - virtually no clean up except for the base. You just can't overfill the dixie cup with fruit, veggies and liquid, otherwise it will overflow into the larger jar. Some may feel it's pricey but if you can afford a Blendtec......and if you make single smoothies, it's way better than spending money on another (cheaper) brand on the market. I love the idea of the different types of jars that work with my Blendtec.
I HAVE HAD ONE FOR 2 WEEKS NOW AND I LOVE IT. I USE THE SOLO CUPS, IT'S SO QUICK AND EASY. CLEAN UP IS GREAT AND I HAVEN'T HAD ANY ISSUES WITH IT BLENDING. I PRIMARLY BLEND SMOOTHIES WITH FRUIT, OR JUICES WITH VEGETABLES. I GOT IT AT THE $100 AND FOR THAT PRICE I THINK IT IS A GREAT DEAL. VERY WELL BUILT, SIMPLE TO USE, AND A BREEZE TO CLEAN. 5 STAR
