Great concept, but not for the price and hassle.

I bought this on the sale price. I do love it but have an impossible time getting the base off. I dont even tighten it that much but somehow it either self tightens or creates a suction. I've used it both with an without a solo cup. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I bought this about a month or so ago and have used it probably 20 times. I’ve used a plastic cup recommended on a product card that came in the packaging and the seal comes undone or the cup breaks probably 1/3 of the time. The idea is awesome, but with it making a bigger mess than my wild side jar (when using a disposable cup and following all the directions to a T) I don’t think it’s worth it. If the quality of the seal is increased greatly, it would be a life-changing product.

I have used this Frappuccinos, Ice blended protein drinks, and personal margaritas so far. Blends perfectly without any mess. If you like blended drinks but don’t like the mess with the traditional jar, don’t hesitate to buy this. You’ll love it.

I got this for Christmas and love it!! Great idea for on-the-go morning smoothies, especially when using the dixie cups - virtually no clean up except for the base. You just can't overfill the dixie cup with fruit, veggies and liquid, otherwise it will overflow into the larger jar. Some may feel it's pricey but if you can afford a Blendtec......and if you make single smoothies, it's way better than spending money on another (cheaper) brand on the market. I love the idea of the different types of jars that work with my Blendtec.

I absolutely love this jar!!! It is perfect for the smoothies I've been making lately which include 1 cup liquid, crushed ice and protein powder. I love using the disposable cups with the smoothie but make sure the ice is crushed or your cup might crack. I'm not giving it a 5 simply because I feel the jar is over priced. As much as I love it, I wasn't willing to pay full price. I only purchased it because at the time, it was 20% off. Other than the price, I don't feel like you would go wrong making this purchase if you are an on the go kind of smoothie maker like me.

Bad Product

Bought this a year ago. It’s had light use. The bearing went out and the base started smoking when blending a sauce. The blade was frozen when it cooled. The bearing is clearly not adequate for the high speeds of the blender.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Leaks 100% of the time

"Surely that's tight enough", I tell myself. Wrong. I guess I should try two strap wrenches to see if it's possible to have a leak-free experience but I'd rather just warn others of this hunk of junk.
