Love the blend n go, only giving it a 4 star because it doesn’t really work well with the disposable cups, we’ve had several situations where we couldn’t get the lid off to take the smoothie out of the jar, blending it with just the jar and lid works best. disposable cup idea is great if it worked like it’s supposed to.
I am loving my go cup. It is great for smaller servings and the benefit of using the solo cup insert is great. I use turmeric in most of my blends and I was concerned eventually my containers would stain and the solo cup insert option is just what I needed!
The price is on the steep side (even on sale), but you get what you pay for. It blends well ( not as well as the wild side+ jar, but better than other brands), I like that the lid seals, and solo cups work great for smaller smoothies.
I was happy to finnaly get my Blendtec Go jar, but I was a little disappointed in the blending abilities. I make a Rocket Fuel latte with cacao nibs and shelled hemp seeds in the Wild Side jar on the smoothie setting and everything is smooth. In the Blendtec Go jar I have about 2 tsps of chunks left at the bottom. I have tried running the juice setting twice and I still have little chunks left over. I have also paused partway through and scraped down the sides. Let me know if I am doing something wrong.
I absolutely love this jar!!! It is perfect for the smoothies I've been making lately which include 1 cup liquid, crushed ice and protein powder. I love using the disposable cups with the smoothie but make sure the ice is crushed or your cup might crack. I'm not giving it a 5 simply because I feel the jar is over priced. As much as I love it, I wasn't willing to pay full price. I only purchased it because at the time, it was 20% off. Other than the price, I don't feel like you would go wrong making this purchase if you are an on the go kind of smoothie maker like me.
