You can sit it on top of a desk, a shelf, or mount it on a wall... Next you turn it on, test it, and that's it... Now it's time to relax... It comes with a very informative user manual, and two instruction stickers that you can write your emergency contact numbers on so that not only you but anyone in your home can read and know what to do incase the alarm goes off... It also comes equipped with a 10yr battery...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The First Alert Carbon Monoxide Detector has some great features. It has a digital display that tells the room temperature that is big enough to read from a good bit away. It has a LED backlight so the display is very easy to read. It has a ten year battery life which is excellent since that is one less battery I have to change yearly. You do not have to mount it to the wall. It just sits atop any tabletop or other surface. I did test the alarm just to see if it can be heard throughput the house and it can be.

Peace of mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently bought a new home and the first thing I realized was there were no carbon monoxide detectors. Having this extra piece if mind in security speaks volumes. I bought an extra one for the kitchen and one for each set of grandparents. When my kids go over to their homes for sleepovers, I now know I can sleep at night. I would definitely recommend this product along with all their other products. Easy installation and instructions of use. I will say that I'm a pretty good advocate for every home having one of these devices. I can't imagine losing a family I will say that I'm a pretty good advocate for every home having one of these devices. I can't imagine losing a family to this silent death.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The First Alert - First Alert CO710 Carbon Monoxide Detector with Digital Temperature Display is perfect for our home. It gives us the detection we want and need with updated style and digital features. The detector is slim lined and does not take up much space which is very nice. The design matches with the other items in our home. This product would be prefect for any sized home and I recommend that anyone get one of these products. We are very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a Carbon Monoxide detector, but didn't really know how I would use it if it needed to be installed. This one, fortunately, can go on a counter or ledge with no installation needed. I can't tell if it works correctly because I don't expect to have carbon monoxide leak! But it was easy to set up! No repairman needed to install it. I was able to read the directions and install it on a cabinet I have near the roof of my RV. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I recommend this detector to anyone.

It was easy to set up and the instructions were also very easy to understand! We got it going and put up in no time at all! I do recommend using strong batteries that will last you a while without having to change them often! That will help out on not worrying if it’s working in tip top shape! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this detector. It’s not large in size and instead of mounting on the wall, It can sit upright on a countertop or shelf. The digital thermometer is also an added bonus. When testing to see how the alert would sound, I like that it does not sound the same as a smoke detector. Only dislike is, once it starts beeping frequently it’s time to throw away. Would be nice if all that was needed was a new battery. Not sure how long review should be but I don’t have any other things to review about this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is exactly what I was looking for my mother. She has gas and has a bad habit of not turning it all the way off. This is helping to signal to her that she has carbon monoxide in her house. She can't smell it so this is a big deal for her! Would definitely recommend for older people who Dont have very good senses any more! It was very simple to install the batteries and get it up on the wall and ready to go for her! The product seems to last a long time. Need to make sure you get batteries that last so your not changing out often!
