My school bought this for my classroom last year. There are 22 four year olds in my class and after a year of constant use it still looks great. My husband assembled it and didn't complain, but he's a handyman by nature.

This Star Diner has been such a huge hit at my house(grandmother) that the kids have been begging to come over every day! Ages start at two through twelve! We all take turns being the waiter/waitress. Both are fun! The kids hand the menu and I select many many food items. They then go behind the counter and cook up a storm! They have to remember to plate food, add utensils and a drink plus condiments. A lot of learning goes on. And a lot of fun! They use math skills to add up the bill. I pay with fake money! And I might even leave a big tip! Sometimes they act out a rude waiter scene -it's very funny! Every day is different at the Star Diner! But it's always super fun! Easy clean up. I keep buying more sets so they can make waffles, stuff pasta, create a salad or taco. Somebody stop me! I love this diner! Add another small table and chairs to have a busy restaurant. So much fun. Set is super sturdy and no batteries! Just great imaginative fun for all. I can even squeeze in the booth!

Great for pretend play, quality okay

Fun imaginative play for any gender. My 3 & 5 year old sons enjoy it. As another review I read mentioned, the parts/assembly are not 100% accurate. The screw holes at the top of the dinner would not line up with the red pieces to give it extra security. This was more frustrating than anything since I always follow instructions exact. Still functions fine but for being new and the price, everything should come perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this diner for my grandsons for Christmas and they just love it! They are 5 and 1 in age and have fun playing together. A very well made toy and easy to put together, just takes some time., there's a lot of pieces. This grandma did it herself!
