Not sure if I would recommend or not...

The top left front side of this had a chunk come off next and under the stove knob 2 days after it was put up in my Kindergarten room. I fixed it with a piece of popcycle stick and gorilla glue so that at least the knob does not fall off. Perhaps it was not intended for a class...but there was one set up in a store and many children were playing with it. Was disappointed that it happened so quickly. However, the kids still love playing with it and after all the work I did to put it together did not want to take it away and return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I LOVE Melissa and Doug toys! However, when I purchased the playset kitchen for my granddaughters, I was somewhat disappointed by the quality. I assembled it and the directions were moderately simple enough to follow. There were some minor chips in the edges and we chipped out a small piece when assembling it. I expected it to be the best quality since I paid considerably more money for this toy. I was looking for a toy that would be an heirloom piece and I don't feel like this one will last for years of play. I will still buy this brand but will be more careful about what pieces I select. I will see how it holds up over time but I won't hold my breath!

Not very Durable..

This kitchen is completely broken and we only had it a few months, the little counter top edge snapped off and the wood chipped off where the metal pins were supposed to sit for many of the doors.. it has only the two upper doors still working. would not buy again
