My son just received this for Christmas. He absolutely loves it, it seems to be his favorite out of the gift he received. It was a special gift as his grandpa was tow truck driver and passed in April and it was the closest thing I could find tow truck related.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Broke very easily

Bought this for our son and after only a few days the magnetic arm broke, making the truck unusable due to the rough, exposed wood. Very disappointed as we love all our other Melissa and Doug toys.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
