Poor magnet quality

We usually love Melissa and Doug toys for their quality but this item was a dud! The magnet is too weak to hold the car and became a real problem for kiddo wanting to play with their crane truck on Christmas morning.

The stick with the magnet broke on the first use! It snapped right off unfortunately. The rest of the truck seems sturdy though, but we can’t use it for its intended purpose
