Poor cooler door design

I purchased this item for my kids and had it assembled for Christmas Eve. Assembly was straight forward and easy. However, two days later the cooler door fell off. We've put it back on numerous times now, but the same thing keeps happening. Overall I'm very pleased with the product, but the door has a bad design. Also, I wish the overall design was better suited for other Melissa and Doug toys, such as the can set or grocery store expansion pack. By this I mean that the additional toys don't fit perfectly - more specifically, you can't fit 4 cans across on the shelves, even though the products are all Melissa and Doug.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We put it together Christmas Eve and it was working fine, but come Christmas morning and the sounds do not work. We replaced the few hours old batteries, and still no sound. Disappointment doesn't even cover it.
