Great concept lots of fun but not impressed with the quality. It's marketed for children so should be made with products to withstand a child's play After reading several reviews It would appear there might be design flaws. Do not recommend due to poor quality of materials definitely a huge stately concern.

Conveyor belt breaks like nothing...

This was a very expensive toy to get all the parts, and like another review I just read, the conveyor wasn't pre-drilled for assembly. It also broke immediately when my son used it. If I hadn't just read to other reviews saying the same thing I might have thought my son was too rough, but I'm more frustrated that I emailed the company on 12/22/18 and received no response. I wanted to order a new belt so I could make it usable again, but they have not answered. I went ahead and emailed again today in case they missed the first one. If not, I'll try to call the toll free number next and he asks me about it every time he goes to play with the store. I still rate it high though because it really is a beautiful set that my son loves playing with and makes him come alive with excitement.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Instant hit with my 3 year ikd

This was easy to put together! I was overwhelmed at first but everything is very well labeled and simple to assemble. It took about 3 hours but I was also nursing my 2 month old and future beneficiary of this grocery store! For now though, my three year old daughter is over the moon with this and enjoys spending several hours pretending she is a grocery store shopper and worker. We also have the shopping cart and several grocery sets that Melissa and Doug offer, adding to the fun! So far it has held up to play, however my 3 year old girl is a very gentle player

Some complications

I bought this product for my girls for Christmas and they were so excited to open it. It was very easy to put together and it would go with the billion of other Melissa and Doug things that we own. The only problem we had was the the scanner. It hasn't worked sense we got it. We put multiple sets of new batteries in it and it won't work. Is there any way of replacing it?

I am afraid to open the box and put it together

After reading all the reviews , and knowing other people who bought this for Christmas also, I am afraid to open the box and put this together. I am thinking I should return this product and get my $200.00 back. That is a lot of money to pay for a toy that is just going to break right away.

I bought this store for my daughter who LOVES it! I was concerned about the size but this has proven to be hours of fun! My daughter just turned 9 and loves to play grocery store. We bought the grocery store kit as well and we have,many play food sets that compliment this well :) I also have a home daycare. This is so much fun for the 2 & up ages and very durable! I would recommend 3 & up however. Thank you Melssia & Doug for another great product! :)
