What?!

The only reason I bought this refrigerator in 2010 was because it had a full third basket in the freezer, and I needed the space not only for freezer capacity but so that I could store and find my freezer food. But I had nothing but problems with the though the door ice maker. Finally in 2013, Electrolux replaced by problem refrig with the new current model. With the new model, it was nearly impossible to remove the protective film and Electrolux gave me no help with this. The new model no longer has stainless steel sides or slide out refrigerator shelves (which I loved). And, most importantly, the new model essentially eliminated the full third freezer basket because the additional ice maker and, the most un-useful idea of all, the addition of the Soft Serve compartment. Really?! Those two additions cut down the freezer capacity for food storage. Also, the additional ice maker is currently being repaired, of course. The service technician was able to remove the Soft Serv compartment under the guidance of the company's on call tech. There is now more storage space, a big improvement. The other complaint I have with the unit is that if there is a power outage of 10 seconds or less and the power is returned either from the utility company or from our whole house generator, the alarm does not go off. It would be better if the alarm went off. Electrolux could do better with this unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the BEST refrigerator for pizza boxes! It is deep enough to hold even the extra large size. So, it is great for party trays too.

Critique of Electrolux 3 door refrigerator

We are a 2 person household plus one much loved 12 year old Bichon. Our refrigerator is kept well supplied with all types of food items, as well as "leftovers" from prepared recipes. We also keep soft drinks, wines and purchased salad items from "boutique type" markets.
In order to prepare for entertaining, having the separate drawer was a great feature, as was the automated icemaker. Despite the higher cost to purchase our Electrolux refrigerator, we loved the features and decided it was just what we wanted. However, the downside was the ice maker, which was a major source of frustration which caused constant repair. We, fortunately, bought the extended warranty. An automated icemaker was very important to our lifestyle. Since we keep our refrigerator well stocked, we found this unit reasonably able to accommodate most of our needs.

Great Fridge

Really enjoy our Electrolux fridge and all the fantastic features. Has nice water filter with great tasting water. Love the "2" ice makers and the control temp drawer is a much appreciated . Its holds so much and the slide drawers make it all easy access. The only improvement would be higher quality drawer glides (1 broke) and the motor has a deep hum I wish was quieter. Great value for the money.

Electrolux has solved the issue, ice maker. I have own this unit for almost a year, and I have not had any problems with the ice machine.

Great fridge!

This fridge looks great in our kitchen. We love the dual ice makers. We find that we have enough ice, even during parties. Also, the ice is convenient to access either through the dispenser or freezer. We love the ice cream drawer in the freezer. It keeps ice cream at the perfect temperature, and also helps to organize our freezer by keeping desserts in the drawer. The self closing drawers in the refrigerator is another feature we enjoy. The inside lights are another nice, high-end feature on this unit.

great fridge

This fridge provides a lot of space which is very important to me. It also has a Sabbath mode which to comply with Jewish law.
I love the utility drawer that has a separate thermostat which comes in handy. You also have ice in the freezer as well as the door.

This fridge looks beautiful in our kitchen. It has so many conveniences that we enjoy, such as the extra ice maker in the freezer, and self closing drawers. This model has so many bells and whistles, it's a pleasure to use everyday.
