Love the double ice maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a side by side refrigerator. i love the added space and the wonderful shape. So many things that would not fit into my old refrigerator fit now! It is wonderful

Great Organic Vegetable Life Extender

We purchased this refrigerator after much research on all simliar french door styles. We are avid farm maket shopper, and found our old Whirlpool side by side did not have enough fridge storage for all of our weekly fruits & vegetable, but the Electrolux has plenty bins. Our actual fruits & vegetable last for up to 6 days long, which is amazing!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love most of it

Within two weeks of purchasing refrigerator we had issues with the ice maker in fridge and needed repairman to fix problem. Also, the freezer door wouldn't shut properly and thawed the food . This happened three times before repairman fixed this. The water dispenser area shows wear almost immediately! The spot where your glass rests while filling with water has marks ( the rough silver surface is worn down ) that cannot be fixed. This happened within a couple of weeks of use. This all being said, we LOVE the rest of the refrigerator! It is well laid out, the self closing drawers are fantastic, the lighting is fantastic. Perhaps our favorite part is the layout of the freezer! Extra ice compartment is extremely useful. The ice cream drawer that keeps the temp just perfect for ice cream is a hit in our house! I like the fact that we can easily store and find everything in the entire refrigerator. We have had other refrigerators where the freezer was like the black hole...you knew you put something in there but couldn't seem to find it. Overall would buy this again because for the price nothing else comes close to providing the extra features

Great Fridge

Bought the new 2012 model and love it. It is amazingly roomy. Both icemakers operate flawlessly. The self closing drawers are a must have. Great fridge!

Terrible Product

18 months and still no ice. Service guy comes out, not the same guy. Electrolux says design defect and sends out a replacement. Put it in he leaves no ice. Ice and water dispenser take up half of unit no room for food. Is 3,000 dollars not alot of money? Willing to pay alot if I get what I want. This is a peice of junk. Going to give this one away, and buy a Sub-Zero. Electrolux should sign up for Sub-Zero school in the Fall. Sorry about spelling and punctuation, I am just MAD.

Looks Nice- NO ICE

I purchased this refrigerator in late 2009 and have had over 8 service calls for the ice maker. Each time a part or system board upgrade was installed/or replaced and it works for a while and then stops again. The latest service call has been open since early October where the ice maker stopped working, water was leaking into the fridge, which burned out the wiring harness. After three more attempts, the wiring harness was replaced, the fan was replaced, the water pump was replaced, the shut off arm assembly, and the motorized maker, still no ice. Now they are sending another tech to do what I do not know... Stand clear of this product.

Ice maker issues still exist

The refrigerator has really nice features however; we are going on our 4th refrigerator due to the "known" ice-maker issues. Electrolux was quick to respond but we continue to receive lemons. We've stuck with this model as all other refrigerators seem very plastic-like and cheap. Not crazy about the change made to the design of the freezer; I prefer the older model design.

Replacement

Just received my replacement refrigerator one week ago after having serveral problems with my original refrig., when it was delieved the Temp drawer temperature was not working,Here we go again. I already had a service call today and the circuit board needs to be replaced in the temp drawer and one of my freezer drawers and brackets need to be replaced the drawer does not stay on the track. My original model was completelty stainless steel, sides and front doors. this model has ugly gray panels on the sides of the refrigerator. Th original model number wa model EW28BS71IS...serial 4A01002898,, Explain wh the model I received which wa surpose to be your better model is not. Explain wh this model does no have th stainless steel sides, wh this model ha a second ic maker in th freezer compartment, an why instead of having 3 freezer drawers it only ha 2 I am no happy with my replacement an will expect to ge a response to this email.
