Improve quality control: pre-delivery or factory

The unit was delivered during December 2015. The ice line connector was not sealed properly and leaked slowly over the subsequent five months. It caused damage to a newly installed solid walnut floor; it required removing a portion. In addition, the refrigerator has been pulled out into the kitchen area while a fan and dehumidifier are in operation 24/7 to remove moisture from both the remaining walnut floor and plywood sub-floor. This has been ongoing for more than two weeks and this inconvenience will continue until the floor moisture level is reduced to an appropriate level. My wife is not happy! Perhaps a moisture sensor could be incorporated into the unit.

Overall great product but some issues!

This was a replacement fridge because the previous one did not make ice properly. Needless to say, now I have more than enough ice and I love love love it. However now, I have been having issues with the bottom drawer opening. It's gotten stuck and fixed just for it to get tight all over again. If it were not for this issue this would be the ideal fridge. I do love it though this one thing can get annoying.

EW28BS85KS3 not worth the money or aggravation

We purchased model EW28BS85KS3, French Door Refrigerator about a month ago. Nice looking machine, however, we're on a first name basis with repairman. Top ice maker that feeds door dispenser made ice but when attempting to get cubes, dispenser would spit out mostly crushed ice and then continuously drip from dispenser. Repairman found a faulty rubber seal on the flapper door that seals the ice maker from the outside air and had to replace entire dispenser assembly. Ice maker in freezer compartment overfills with cubes and when opening freezer drawer the wire lever that detects a full bin and stops the ice maker will kick out about a half dozen cubes in back of the drawer and they will subsequently slide out from under the drawer onto the floor. On a couple of occasions, the ice cubes stuck behind door and would not allow freezer drawer to close completely causing thawing. Repairman ordered, from Electrolux, an extension to the wire lever which will not allow ice to build up as high in bin. Question, why isn't this installed at the factory. A hinged strip which runs the full vertical length of the right fridge door which allows both doors to seal in the center, will cause the left door not to close correctly due to hanging extended. This strip needs springs to hold that hinged section to return to its correct position. I'm no expert but, for the price we paid, this machine is extremely disappointing and we will never purchase another Electrolux item. There are simply too many design and engineering issues that should be corrected prior to the unit leaving the factory in Mexico.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
