Tempermental touch pad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer and dryer were provided by the builder when we moved into our new house in May. I find the touch pad to be a bit tricky to use; apparently there are times when the machine disagrees with the choices I am making.

Not a reliable washing machine

This washer was installed in the brand new townhome I bought in 2020. This washer started to break down after just 6 months. We have had multiple call outs for this washer to be fixed and it seems to require repair every 6 months. Control panel replacement 3 times since 2020. Now it’s something else going wrong - the drum will no longer spin. I am tired of having these issues and I now find myself searching for a replacement and sending this one to landfill!!
I have never in over 20 years of owning a home had issues like this with a washer. It is totally unacceptable for a reputable brand like Whirlpool to sell such garbage! Not happy and won’t be replacing with another Whirlpool washer.

Drain Filter Hard to Reach

DO NOT BUY IF YOU CANT MOVE THE UNIT AFTER. The washer works fine enough. Removing the back panel to access the drain filter is a huge inconvenience as our units are stacked in a very tight space. This is a poor engineering design as cleaning the drain filter is essential to maintaining the life span of the washer unit. I looked through my owner's manual on how to clean my drain filter. The instruction does not match my unit or the 3 other similar units sold in Canada. I am very disappointed with Whirlpool in the year 2022 they could easily upload a new PDF explaining how to gain access to the drain filter.

this came with a prebuild condo. Given the option, i'd have shopped for my own. My washer is 3 years old now, it leaks out the side from somewhere and through the sealing gasket in the front door. Alarms are constantly going off. The bulky items settings doesn't always seem to limit the spin cycle and causes the machine to slam around. the front panel display is glitchy and exhibits weird behaviour when some other error comes on. Just a real annoying piece of junk.

Great product for flooding you home.

Don't buy this it is junk. When in cleaning cycle mode it flooded our laundry room on the main floor and took out the basement ceiling and the carpets as well. It does work and doesn't flood when you are in standard washing mode. The manual does request that after 30 washes you clean it. Good luck with that DON'T DO IT.
After the Whirlpool service was here and confirmed that it was in working order, our insurance paid for repairs (we paid the deductible) - guess what - it happened again.
By the way, customer service doesn't care about their customers.

Not happy my washer brook twice in 1 month

A Poor Choice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Whirlpool was a lemon; it would just STOP in the middle of the cycle; the technician i had to call 3 times replaced 2 panels to no avail. I sent it back & bought a Speed Queen which works!!!

Too few choices

We have had this washer for at least two years and every other time while it is running, it counts down from 3 and flashes OFF. Constant beeping causing us to have to go to it and hold down the start button to make the flashing and noises stop. Nothing in the manual gives guidance on this and the company we purchased it from has no advise. Working from home and having to run to the machine to stop the beeping has been horrible. There is not intuitiveness in this product.
