Buy It for It's Size BUT THE USER INTERFACE IS BAD

I wanted a big load washer and this was big. The digital options were good for me to observe and modify the load. But OMG THE USER INTERFACE IS HORRIBLE!
I've made 3 attempts to find out if there's an update to the User Interface, and no one seems to care. It must have been written by a faulty AI engine. Here are my concerns that I've sent multiple times. Critical issues: • The UI crashes, rebooting the washer about once/month. • Unplugging and plugging it in again is also needed once/month when the UI becomes so slow that response is 5 seconds or more.
Significant issues: • The time-delay never (ok, it worked once) displays the actual time until the machine will start. Common results when setting a delay: o It indicates that the load will start in 1 minute, no matter how far ahead it’s set o It comes up with the correct time before it should start but doesn’t count it down (it did that once and the app indicates it properly) o It comes up with a random time. For example. It was 7:52 this morning and I set delay for 10:00 and it said it would start in 1:45. It’s ridiculous, or simply math-challenged. o It tends to crash the UI when going past midnight. o Scrolling through the times takes a very long time (5-10 seconds to scroll) sometimes, however rebooting the machine fixes it and it responds faster o Opening the door to add something while it’s in delay does not show the wait time or when it’s set (the delay clock is yellow, which is your clue that it’s still set and will start at the set time • Sometimes it just flakes out: o A cleaning cycle halted for an unknown reason. I ran a rinse and it was fine, but two loads later it halted and said to remove the clothes and restart the cleaning cycle. WHAT?? o A load halted with water in the drum and a notification that it had insufficient water, restart the cleaning cycle. I ran drain/spin and it was fine. o A load of 3 towels running on “Normal” stopped and said to restart the cleaning cycle. I got an notification of my phone that said “no content” (starting the load again resulted in a “suds” warning which it did recover from o When a bulky load “finishes” but hasn’t started the extra fast spin, it may spin slowly forever (at least an hour then I unplugged it) o If the load is finished but is at 1 minute (the door unlocks and it’s done), and you open the door before it moves to Fan Fresh or Cycle done, the display will display 1 minute forever.
Irritating issues that reduce satisfaction significantly • It should remember the last load settings (it does randomly, and sometimes just makes up a profile that hasn’t been used) so that it’s easy to just another load of “Delicates” (or whatever) without going through resetting or reselecting a favorite: I’m advocating for turn on, see the last load on the display, start if it’s the same as last one. No other buttons. (I know that selecting Favorites, you can see the recent loads, but they are not necessarily the modified settings as displayed when you just review a favorite, making it hard to figure out without trying more than one thing). The point here is that doing two identical loads should be simple. • You should be able to reorder Favorites instead of recreating them, same in the app • The machine’s favorites should match the app’s and vice-versa • Sometimes changing a setting in a profile for a one-time change will change more of the options than you wanted (like soil level) in the same setting. • Not all touches to the display result in a beep. • I use two different detergents in Load n Go. There should be a faster way to switch between them and NOT get a warning…I’ve done hundreds of loads. I know the message. (This could be a Settings option if you always use detergent in each reservoir.) • Likewise, the machine disables remote access all the time. I can see why you might want to do that, but if it was on and on “delay” and I add a garment, I’d expect that it knew that I wanted it to be on since the machine is on delay. OR it should remember that setting when you power on, and disable when power is off. • Power on should respond faster when touched, sometimes it takes 5 seconds to respond (that usually means rebooting the machine). It usually takes 1-2 seconds, and you can’t always know if it is just waiting or you missed the spot to touch. • There should be a better way to reboot than unplugging it and plugging it back in (a good way to do this is to have it reboot periodically all by itself if there is no load pending). • When the load finishes and goes into Fan Fresh mode, it should make a sound, so I’d know if I’m in earshot. It sends a notification to the app, but why not make a “wash clean” tone. • The “diagnostics” button doesn’t seem to do anything • Errors should trigger an app notification so I know something is amiss before I walk into the laundry room. • My washer sits on a floor, not a pedestal. The angle to the display makes it difficult to press the spots that actuate things. • The wi-fi connection gets lost. While the Remote is set “on”, the app can’t reach the washer, saying it’s offline. This requires rebooting the washer. Many products reboot themselves overnight to prevent this from affecting the consumer. (My KitchenAid double oven has the remote thing figured out.)
It also has a sensor or logic issue. Putting a towel or jacket that sits in the back will cause it to run forever, or for an hour before it quits....but the contents are SOAKING wet. A drain/spin usually works if you rearrange the load, but it seems to be confused, can't recognize the problem and can't report it, UNTIL you find it wet when you wanted to be done washing for the night and just put the load in the dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
